For 21 years, Paul Burrell served the British Royal Family, living and working in some of the world’s most elegant and beautifully furnished homes. Most notably, he was the butler and close friend to Diana, Princess of Wales from 1987 until her death in 1997. His tell‐all book, The Way We Were: Remembering Diana, brings readers inside the doors of Kensington Palace and following the inner life of the People’s Princess. More recently, Burrell was an official FOX News Royal Correspondent at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. “During the afternoon, I managed to talk with people who had gathered in the Mall and until then, I had not realized how great affection still is for Princess Diana,” he says. “Princess Diana was very much in people’s thoughts on that day.” Burrell will meet and greet with visitors at the Suburban Home & Garden Show, February 23 ‐ 26, at the Greater Philadelphia EXPO Center at Oaks. A private, little‐seen collection of gowns once worn by Princess Diana will be on display at the show, along with a short documentary commemorating the life of the beloved Royal. In addition to the dress display, Highland House, a well‐regarded American manufacturer of fine wood and upholstered furniture will feature a licensed furniture collaboration inspired by Paul Burrell, called Royal Manner II: Casual English Style. The collection includes an eclectic array of upholstery, case goods and occasional accents designed in the relaxed‐yet‐elegant style of the English countryside. “Most notably, we and Paul Burrell have taken great care with Royal Manner II to feature upholstery styles with simple, clean lines and fabrics that display a similar casual approach to English‐style furniture, “ says Parker Goss, president of Highland House. “We feel Royal Manner II will resonate with sophisticated consumers of all ages.” The Suburban Home & Garden show gives you the opportunity to spruce up your “palace” at reasonable prices.
