3 2.1 - GENERAL CHECK

ENGLISH WARNING! Upon delivery of the product, check that there are no signs of impact andthat the packaging is intact. Otherwise, follow the indications in paragraph 2.2 or 2.3. 2.2 - TRANSPORT DAMAGE IN ITALY FREIGHT PRE-PAID Upon delivery, if the package/parcel shows visible signs of damage, the recipient must or may sign the delivery note conditionally, reserving the right to claim for any damages. Ita- lian law prescribes that “the unconditional acceptance of delivery of the goods transpor- ted by the consignee, together with the payment of what is due to the carrier, extinguishes the causes of action arising from the contract, except in case of fraud or gross negligence of the carrier” (art. 1698 Italian Civil Code). To conditionally accept a parcel it is necessary to use specific fields in the document (delivery note) that the carrier will ask you to sign upon delivery. Each carrier has its own procedure for signing conditionally, you will need to ask them how to proceed. If the packaging is visibly damaged upon delivery, proceeds follows: 1. Check the appearance and the condition of the packages. Check that it is not da- maged, intact, and that everything is there: if the document indicates there are several packages, check that they are all there. The recipient and the employee of the transport company sign the delivery note adding that a more detailed inspection is required, clearly stating the reason: - “goods conditionally accepted subject to detailed inspection” - “package with packaging tape added, goods conditionally accepted subject to detai- led inspection” - “cardboard package with obvious signs of warping/folding, goods conditionally accep- ted subject to detailed inspection” - “package externally damaged and/or partially opened, goods conditionally accepted subject to detailed inspection” 2. Leave the product and the packaging as they are. Document the damaged package/ parcel with photos and/or videos. 3. Do not use the product. 4. Report the damages to the transport company. 5. Report the damage to Tecnomed Italia s.r.l. ([email protected]). 6. In no case must the product be returned to Tecnomed Italia s.r.l. before having received a reply and authorisation to do so. 7. Send the signed delivery note to Tecnomed Italia srl. 8. Leave the product and the packaging as they are. 9. Do not use the product.

Note: If you are concerned that there may be damage hidden and not visible from the outside, please conditionally sign anyway.

If the product is damaged, but no damage to the packaging was detected at the time of delivery, follow these steps: 1. Inform the transport company no later than 7 days after delivery. 2. Report the damage to Tecnomed Italia s.r.l. ([email protected]) by sending visual proof of the unpacked product. 3. Leave the product as it is

WARNING! If the recipient fails to comply with any of the provisions stated above, the damage shall be considered to have arisen after delivery.

4 2.3 - TRANSPORT DAMAGE OUTSIDE ITALY FREIGHT PRE-PAID

WARNING! Tecnomed Italy srl shall not be liable for damages occurred during transit. Check the goods immediately upon receipt!

If the packaging is visibly damaged upon delivery, follow these steps: ENGLISH

1. The recipient must acknowledge the loss or damage on the delivery note. The recipient and the employee of the transport company sign the delivery note. Only on the basis of this proof can the recipient assert the claim for replacement for damage by the transport com- pany. 2. Leave the product and the packaging as they are. 3. Do not use the product.

If the product is damaged, but no damage to the packaging was detected at the time of delivery, follow these steps: 1. Notify the transport company no later than 30 days after delivery. 2. Leave the product and the packaging as they are. 3. Do not use the faulty product.

WARNING! If the recipient fails to comply with any of the aforementioned provisions, the damage shall be considered as if arising after delivery.

WARNING! If the goods travel carriage forward, the responsibility lies between the buyer and the carrier. Tecnomed Italia will have no responsibility.

2.4 - TRANSPORT AND STORAGE CONDITIONS

The product inside the packaging is fragile. Avoid shocks.

Keep the package away from water and humidity.

Transport and store the product only in the direction indicated by the arrows.

Do not stack.

Temperature limit: from -10° to 45° C.

Humidity limit: from 10 to 90%.

Atmospheric pressure limit: from 500 to 1060 hPa.

DANGER! The product is intended for indoor use only, it is not suitable for wet or humid environments.

DANGER! Do not install the appliance in places where there are anaesthetic or flamma- ble gases, or in places with harmful chemical air.

DANGER! The appliance must not be used in a potentially explosive atmosphere.

DANGER! You must not cover, block or obstruct, even partially, the air inlet and outlet vents- doing so will compromise the effectiveness of the disinfection.

DANGER! Install the appliance in a place protected from impact or accidental splashes of water or liquids.

DANGER! Do not install the device near heat sources or in places with high temperatu- res. Install it in such a way that there is adequate air circulation around it.

DANGER! Before proceeding with installation, check the device condition; if it shows signs of damage caused during transport, do not start it and contact Tecnomed Italia s.r.l. as per paragraph 2.1.

DANGER! Faulty components must only be replaced with original spare parts.

WARNING! Before connecting the power cable, make sure that the electrical contacts are perfectly dry. If necessary, use compressed air to dry them.

DANGER! The electrical system of the premises in which the purchased product is used must comply with CEI 64-8/7 standards and subsequent amendments. The appliance must be installed by qualified personnel only.

9 5- PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ENGLISH 5.1 - INTENDED USE The Steril Fan line includes biological air treatment equipment, ensuring the elimination of all pathogens such as , viruses, fungi and moulds present in the air. The internal UVC lamps and a series of special filters allow the device to guarantee constant room sanitising. Furthermore, it should be noted that, every time air passes through the germicidal chamber, it is purified and up to 99.99% of germs are killed. This appliance is intended for air disinfection only. Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The equipment is intended for use in hospital emergency rooms, operating rooms, infusion rooms, delivery rooms, intensive care units, general wards, health practices, dental practices, pharmacies, grocery stores, companies and waiting rooms.

DANGER! This appliance is not intended for use in areas exposed to the risk of explosion.

DANGER! The product is intended for indoor use only, it is not suitable for wet or humid environments. The user must comply with the following: 1 - Use only EC certified devices in perfect state. 2 - Protect himself, the patients and any third parties from any hazards. 3 - Avoid any contamination of the product. 6.2 - WALL MOUNTING

1. Position the wall support bracket level to determine the installation position of the machine and mark the 3 holes for drilling.

In case of mounting on plasterboard, use special fisher screws and fix the bracket with 5 expansion plugs.

WARNING! In order to guarantee appliance operation, a minimum distance of 50 cm from the false ceiling is recommended. The optimal positioning height of the appliance from the floor varies from 2.3 to 2.5 metres.

- Shutdown countdown setting

Once the device has been activated, a shutdown countdown can be activated by pressing the - L - button. Pressing it once sets the automatic shutdown after one hour. Pressing it 2 times, 2 hours and so on up to a maximum of 5 hours. Each press increases the countdown by 1 hour. The time cycle will be: 2:00 → 3:00 → 4:00 → 5:00 → 1:00.

The example in the figure shows a setting of 2 L hours visible on the display for a few seconds (red circle))

After automatic shutdown, the clock symbol will appear on the remote control display inste- ad of the manual operation symbol.

23 - Multi-control function: It is possible to operate up to 16 Steril Fans with a single remote control. Press button - M -

ENGLISH repeatedly to select the number of the unit to control. By selecting, for example, unit 2, upon power-up, it will follow the settings previously set regardless of what the remote control display indicates. The example in figure 1 indicates the setting of unit 1, in fig. 2 the setting of unit 16.

This means that if you select the programming button the unit will run all 5 programs in sequence, so it will work intermittently for 2 hours on and 2 hours off and after 24 hours it will switch off completely. It is possible to vary all the switch-on and switch-off times of the 5 programs as you wish.

It is also possible to program a customised 6th daily cycle. In fact, by repeatedly pressing the - L - button you will enter program 6 where it is pos- sible to set the on and off times.

The timing setting shows “--: --”; use the arrows ▲ and ▼ to enter lthe switch-on time and press - L - again for the switch-off time. Each time these buttons are pressed, the time is changed in 10 minute increments; keep the buttons pressed for 3 seconds to change the time more quickly.

WARNING! Programs overlap, so unwanted programs need to be deleted. To delete a program, it is necessary to set --:-- the switch-on and switch-off times to 24:00 by pressing and holding the up arrow button ▲ .

Example: in figure 3 by deleting programs 1-2-3- 4-5, only program 6 will appear on the display. This means that by selecting the pro- gramming function the unit will only run program 6.

WARNING! Never spray directly on the surface; the disinfectant could penetrate into the openings, ruin the paint, damage the electrical parts. Use a cloth moistened with disin- fectant (it should not be excessively wet or dripping).

The primary filters need to be cleaned every six months. Remove the filters as shown in the figure, wash them under running water and dry them with compressed air.

With this document, the manufacturer certifies that the product has been built correctly, in compliance with the applicable national and European regulations in force. The product is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase specified on the stamp and on the valid fiscal document issued by the seller. According to art. 1495 c.c., the person who intends to make a warranty claim, must give notice of the failure within 8 days from its ENGLISH discovery. The warranty claim may be refused if the invoice has been changed, deleted or made illegible after the purchase. Disconnect the pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical power supply at the end of the day (if present). Tecnomed Italia srl shall not cover dam- ages caused by failure to comply with the indications above. Not covered by warranty: • labour expenses, staff travel expenses, transport expenses: • operations for the installation and connection of the machine to the various power supply sources; • all parts subject to normal wear and tear (such as light bulbs, carbon brushes, cordon o-rings, suction tubing, etc...); • all those parts that are faulty due to negligence or careless use and/or maintenance; • in-transit damages; • damages caused by limescale or dirt accumulation on hydraulic and pneumatic supply circuits (if present); • malfunctions due to failure to respect the routine cleaning intervals of the filters (if any); • malfunctions caused by third-party equipment (, suction systems, water sof- teners), or other circumstances unrelated to defects in the manufacturing of the device. The Warranty becomes void if: - the equipment presents damages due to fall, exposure to flames, liquid spills, lightning, natural disasters, other causes not attributable to manufacturing defects; - the installation and/or extraordinary maintenance operations and/or the technical con- trols have not been carried out by an authorised Tecnomed Italia s.r.l. technician; - the power supply connection is incorrectly made or the appropriate safety devices have not been installed; - the serial number/series or CE marking are removed, erased or tampered. The warranty covers the replacement, free of charge, of the parts of the device resulting to be defective at the origin due to manufacturing defects. The Customer cannot request the replacement of the entire product. In case of permanent damage or repeated failure (deriving from the same cause), the manufacturer reserves the right to decide whether the equipment will be replaced or not.
