At this master class, led by Thomas Curtius, we’ll explore the country’s climatic diversity, winemaking brilliance and innovative spirit. Embracing high altitude sites and areas with cooling coastal influences, a new generation of Australian winemakers is producing cool climate styles, wines that are fresh, elegant and food-friendly. You’ll learn about the cooling influences of elevation and the ocean, and how they create unique conditions for some of Australia’s most exceptional wines. Flight 1: Oceans Germany continues to be the 5th most important market by volume for Australian wine, with exports to the end of June 2018 reaching A$58.5m, Flight 2: Altitude up 19% by value and 8% by volume, with strong growth at all price points.
