Salita Promotions Acquires License to Display Extensive Boxing Video Libraries of CKP and America Presents on Salita’s YouTube Channel, Free of Charge to Boxing Fans! In service to boxing-hungry fans waiting out the current pandemic, promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions has acquired a license to, free of charge to all, display the boxing video libraries of former prominent boxing promotions firms CKP and America Presents on his ever-expanding Salita Promotions YouTube Channel. The massive CKP library, from the archives of the company formerly run by the late South African-born promoter Cedric Kushner, contains more than 1000 hours of premium bouts from the world’s leading television networks, including HBO, ESPN, and EuroSport. In his hall-of-fame career as a manager and then promoter, Kushner worked with a lineup of well-known heavyweight champions and contenders including Hasim Rahman, Shannon Briggs, Oleg Maskaev, Chris Byrd, Corrie Sanders, Ike Ibeabuchi and David Tua. Also considered one of the world’s best collection of fights for the period of the mid-1990s to 2002, the America Presents collection, from the archives of the company formerly run by late hall-of-famer Dan Goossen, has more than 300 hours of exciting action featuring the likes of Joel Casamayor, Hector Camacho, Wayne McCullough, David Reid and David Tua, among others. Cedric was a wonderful individual and in my opinion a hall-of- fame boxing promoter,” said Steven Heid, Vice President of the library’s keepers, ACH Services. “It is an honor and a great pleasure to be able to bring many historic fights back to the public for their viewing pleasure, especially during these tough times.” The extensive collection comes in addition to the Salita Promotions and previously announced Warriors Boxing fights already available on the Salita Promotions YouTube Channel featuring former heavyweight champions Wladimir Klitschko, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Sultan Ibragimov, Samuel Peter, and Shannon Briggs, top heavyweight contenders Ray Mercer and Jarrell Miller.

This was a day the staff had been waiting anxiously for, as the Tribe’s museum will become the first Native American muse- um to be accredited, gaining interim status. According to Museum Director Anne McCudden, this is an accomplishment only 10 percent of museums nationwide achieve. She explained that the final recommendation could take up to a year from the American Association of Museum’s (AAM) Accreditation Commission. In preparation, a Museum Assessment Program Grant application was submitted to the AAM, which is designed to help museums Team Seminole assess their strengths and weaknesses, and plan ahead. • Tyson Fury Acquires Sport's Crown Jewel
Insipidity’s end: Tyson Fury acquires sport’s crown jewel By Bart Barry- Saturday in Germany, England’s Tyson Fury became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world by decisioning Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko by official scores of 115-112, 115-112, 116-111. What few American aficionados could be bothered to interrupt their Saturday afternoons with the live telecast expressed nearly universal disgust for Klitschko’s iffy comportment and Fury’s very existence. This reaction did little but solidify the heavyweight championship as a European estate, and if it must be that, frankly, Fury’s victory brings an intriguing improvement to the terrible dullness of Klitschko’s sovereignty. We’ve been led by a machine for 10 years. Why not try a madman? Let’s begin with a confession: I’ve not made it to the end of a Wladimir Klitschko fight since he pattycaked his way to a ban from Madison Square Garden 7 1/2 years ago. In that forgettable match, Klitschko, four inches and 20 pounds larger than Sultan Ibragimov, moved like a man weighing with his adversary’s every twitch the primal choice between flight or fight. It was nearer an embarrassment than any defense of a heavyweight title I’d theretofore seen, and I pledged to avoid such queasiness again. Surely I’ve written about Klitschko since, boxing’s schedule being emptied as it was, is, will be, but I’ve not made it to the end of his fights. A bit more about the choice of queasiness: There’s something perfectly awful about the way Klitschko fights.

  • Islamic State GROUP to Mint Own Coins Min
SUBSCRIPTION SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014 MUHARRAM 22, 1436 AH No: 16343 MP asks why Obama backs Equatorial private schools Suu Kyi bid to Guinea to host reject bedoons2 change charter8 African44 Cup Islamic State group to mint own coins Min 11º 150 Fils New currency aims to free ‘enslaved’ Muslims Max 28º CAIRO: The leader of the Islamic State group has ordered the terror organization to start minting gold, silver and copper coins for its own currency - the Islamic dinar. A website affili- ated with the group posted the order late Thursday, saying IS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi instructed his followers to mint the coins to “change the tyrannical monetary system” mod- elled on Western economies that “enslaved Muslims”. The order was approved by the Islamic State group’s Shura Council, an advisory board, according to the website. The authenticity of the posting could not be independently verified but the website has been used in the past for IS post- ings. The IS said its circulation of the new coins, to counter the widely-used US dollar, would free Muslims “from profi- teering, satanical economic oppression”, and it posted pic- tures of what the coins would look like. According to photographs of the coin prototypes, they carry the words in Arabic: “The Islamic State/A Caliphate Based on the Doctrine of the Prophet.” It’s unclear where the Islamic State group intends to get the gold, silver and copper for the coins.
