The melodious performance marked the inauguration of the ‘Rejoice@MahindraWorldCity’ the community building initiative at Mahindra World City. ‘Rejoice@MahindraWorldCity’ is an endeavour to create social and cultural outreaches, community building, networking and above all enjoyment and interaction. It strives to build an everlasting and dynamic community at Mahindra World City. “Rejoice@MahindraWorldCity” will encompass all forms of music, dance, theatre, sport, discourse etc. where a host of talented individuals will create unforgettable experiences. The event also served as a launch pad for “MusicUniv” at the Mahindra World School. MusicUniv is an initiative started by the noted music School – “Brihadwani” and aims to reach out and teach school children all forms of “Classical Music”. The program also was telecast via VSAT, to the main centre of “Brihadhwani” music school. Mahindra World School has the distinction of being the first school in the region to have a permanent VSAT link, to enable live telecast of all of MusicUniv’s concerts to the other MusicUniv locations. Thiru Santosh K Mishra,IAS, Collector Kancheepuram District graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Ms Sangeeta Prasad, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra World City Developers Ltd were present at the occasion.   • One of India's First Initiatives to Successfully Integrate ART With
    One of India’s first initiatives to successfully integrate ART with STEM education, primarily using Music (concept-based original songs, musical exercises and applications) Founded in 2013 by musician Anil Srinivasan, it has now grown to embrace nearly 406 schools as part of the curriculum. Of these, 358 schools (almost 90%) comprise children from re- source-deprived backgrounds in Tier-II, III and villages of Southern India. Developing on the notion that Music is a cognitive facilitator, and can be used as a successful multidisciplinary tool (following Rhapsody’s 460 lesson work on cognitive neuroscience and music, plans integrate math, neuroaesthetics and child development), science, language and social science learning in a manner that have impressed school educators.     Award and Prizes: July 2010 Perelman rejects award After taking a three-month timeout, Russia's math whizz Grigori Perelman has finally turned down a $1,000,000 prize he won for having solved a century-old puzzle. The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) in March awarded its Millennium Prize of $1 million to the reclusive mathematician for proving the 106-year-old Poincaré conjecture, a theorem about the nature of multidimensional space. The eccentric Russian genius said the decision to give him the prize was unfair, as U.S. mathematician Richard Hamilton of Columbia University equally contributed to the proof. Dr. Perelman used a technique developed by Dr. Hamilton, to solve the Poincare conjecture. In 2006, Dr. Perelman refused to accept the Fields Medal, which is considered equal to the Nobel Prize .
