Temporary Traffic Arrangements on North Lantau

Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works of – Link – Southern Connection Viaduct Section, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented on during the time periods specified below:

(A) Road Closure

(i) A section of slow lane of North Lantau Highway bound from a point about 1000 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Depot to a point about 450 metres west of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 9.00 p.m. to 11.59 p.m. on 11 and 12 September 2017;

(ii) A section of two traffic lanes of North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound from a point about 1300 metres west of its junction with the slip road leading to Siu Ho Wan Depot to a point about 200 metres east of the same junction, as well as the slip road on North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound leading to Siu Ho Wan Depot will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 12.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 12 and 13 September 2017;

(iii) A section of two traffic lanes of North Lantau Highway bound from a point about 550 metres east of its junction with the slip road leading to Siu Ho Wan Depot to a point about 450 metres west of the same junction, as well as the slip road on North Lantau Highway Tung Chung bound leading from Siu Ho Wan Depot will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 12.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 13, 14, 17 and 18 September 2017; and

(iv) The slip road on North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound leading from Siu Ho Wan Depot will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 11.45 p.m. on 15 September 2017 to 5.30 a.m. of the following day.

(B) Traffic Arrangements

From 9.00 p.m. on 11 and 12 September 2017 to 5.30 a.m. of the following day, and from 12.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 13, 14, 17 and 18 September 2017

(i) North Lantau Highway

Motorists are advised to travel via the remaining traffic lane(s) of North Lantau Highway.

From 12.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 12 and 13 September 2017

(ii) North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound heading for Siu Ho Wan Depot

Motorists are advised to travel via Penny’s Bay Highway, North Lantau Highway Tung Chung bound, slip road leading to Siu Ho Wan Depot and continue their journeys.

From 12.30 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 13, 14, 17 and 18 September 2017

(iii) Siu Ho Wan Depot heading for North Lantau Highway Tung Chung bound

Motorists are advised to travel via North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound, Penny’s Bay Highway, North Lantau Highway Tung Chung bound and continue their journeys.

From 11.45 p.m. on 15 September 2017 to 5.30 a.m. of the following day

(iv) Siu Ho Wan Depot heading for North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound

Motorists are advised to travel via North Lantau Highway Tung Chung bound, Tung Chung Eastern Interchange, North Lantau Highway Kowloon bound and continue their journeys.

Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. The public transport operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
