A stayer of rare quality who had few peers at his best and ran a couple of tremendous races in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, he was represented by Lot 242, a February-foaled bay consigned by Rathmore Stud on behalf of Mags Melody. Bought by Kevin Ross and Ben Case for €65,000, this well-related colt is a half-brother to the promising Seelotmorebusiness (Sholokhov), from the close family of Splash Of Ginge (Oscar) and See More Business (Seymour Hicks). Other popular Order Of St George foals included a cracking colt from Jimmy Mangan’s Conna Stud who fetched €38,000. SB Bloodstock signed for this colt (Lot 97), who is the first produce of a winning point-to-pointer in Cheryls Dream (Getaway). She is a Lot 242, a first-crop son of Order Of St George from half-sister to the Gr.1 Tolworth Hurdle victor Minella Class (Oscar) Rathmore Stud, who went to Kevin Ross and Ben Case and the Gr.2 scorer Deputy Dan (Westerner). for €65,000. © Alex Cairns The sale contained just one colt by Gr.1 Champion Hurdle winner Epatante’s sire No Risk At All and the Galbertstown Stables offering was understandably in some demand, with Dick Among the many popular Walk In The Park foals on offer was Frisby seeing off all challengers with a bid of €58,000. A return to Lot 235, a colt from Inchiquin Stud who made €48,000 and was the sales ring as a three-year-old will be the plan for Lot 254, bought by Kieran Shields. This June-born bay is out of a half-sister whose dam is a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Hinterland (Poliglote).
