12/18/2019 the Honorable Damon Circosta Chairman North Carolina 12/18/2019 The Honorable Damon Circosta Chairman North Carolina State Board of Elections Third floor, 430 N. Salisbury St. Raleigh, NC 27603 Re: 2020 Republican Presidential Primary Ballot Access Dear Chairman Circosta: Please accept this letter as Congressman Joe Walsh’s request to be placed on the 2020 Republican Presidential Primary Ballot in North Carolina. Pursuant to North Carolina law, the North Carolina State Board of Elections can add presidential candidates who are “generally advocated by the national news media to be potential candidates” for each major political party’s nomination. Enclosed, please find an extensive list of articles and interviews satisfying this requirement. On August 25, 2019, Congressman Joe Walsh announced his candidacy for president on the highest rated Sunday news program – Meet the Press. Congressman Walsh has qualified to be placed on every state ballot where it is up to their respective Secretary of State or similar government agency to determine this requirement. To date, these include California, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Tennessee. The Secretaries of State in the aforementioned all chose to overrule their state Republican Parties by including Congressman Walsh. Furthermore, Congressman Walsh has qualified in New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Idaho, Colorado, Florida, and Texas. Every major polling firm has consistently included Congressman Walsh where he polls in second or third, nationally and state-by-state. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me at (915) 207-4602 or at [email protected]. Thank you, Carlos Sierra Political Director PAID FOR BY WALSH FOR PRESIDENT ENCLOSURE 1: Joe Walsh announces his 2020 Presidential Campaign ABC News This Week with George Stephanopoulos, August 25, 2019 https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/exclusive-joe-walsh-announces-republican- primary-challenge-president/story?id=65122073 ---- Congressman Joe Walsh goes head-to-head with FOX Business Host Stuart Varney over Donald Trump Lying FOX Business Network, September 4, 2019 https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/09/03/joe_walsh_vs_fbns_stuar t_varney_president_trump_has_never_lied_he_exaggerates_and_spins.html ---- Congressman Joe Walsh Appears on Real Time with Bill Maher HBO, September 6, 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7tNpc7-g_4 ---- Congressman Joe Walsh says Donald Trump is posturing to be its King CNN’s AC360, September 9, 2019 https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/09/10/joe-walsh-on-2020- republican-primaries-trump-anderson-cooper-ac360-vpx.cnn ---- Trump’s GOP Challengers Say Cancelling GOP Primaries a Mistake The Associated Press, September 13, 2019 http://www.startribune.com/trump-s-gop-challengers-say-canceling- primaries-is-a-mistake/560288802/ ---- Congressman Walsh Radio Hit on the Craig Silverman Show in Aurora, Colorado 710 KNUS Radio, Aurora, CO, September 14, 2019 https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-vhfxd- bf7c2b?utm_campaign=u_share_ep&utm_medium=dlink&utm_source=u_sh are ---- Joe Walsh brings his long shot Presidential campaign to Iowa The Cedar Rapids Gazette, September 17, 2019 https://www.thegazette.com/subject/news/government/joe-walsh-brings- republican-presidential-campaign-against-donald-trump-to-iowa-20190917 ---- Congressman Joe Walsh and Governors Bill Weld and Mark Sanford react to the cancellation of GOP Primaries MSNBC’s Morning Joe, September 23, 219 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsiKWeceQqI ---- Joe Walsh explains what needs to happen for the GOP to turn on Donald Trump CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, October 4m 2019 https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/10/04/joe-walsh-trump- republicans-sot-nr-vpx.cnn ---- Joe Walsh and Mark Sanford appear on CNN's State of the Union with Jake Tapper, October 6, 2019 (Full) https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/10/06/sotu-walsh-sanford-full.cnn Walsh Quote: Trump Is a Traitor, 3:52) https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/10/06/sanford-walsh-trump- impeachment-inquiry-tapper-intv-sotu-vpx.cnn ---- Congressman Joe Walsh tells WBZ CBS 4's Liam Martin why he wants to challenge President Trump WBZ CBS 4, Boston, MA. PRESENTS FRESH DRESSED A CNN FILMS PRODUCTION WORLD PREMIERE – DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE Running Time: 82 Minutes Sales Contact: Dogwoof Ana Vicente – Head of Theatrical Sales Tel: 02072536244 [email protected] 1 SYNOPSIS With funky, fat-laced Adidas, Kangol hats, and Cazal shades, a totally original look was born— Fresh—and it came from the black and brown side of town where another cultural force was revving up in the streets to take the world by storm. Hip-hop, and its aspirational relationship to fashion, would become such a force on the market that Tommy Hilfiger, in an effort to associate their brand with the cultural swell, would drive through the streets and hand out free clothing to kids on the corner. Fresh Dressed is a fascinating, fun-to-watch chronicle of hip-hop, urban fashion, and the hustle that brought oversized pants and graffiti-drenched jackets from Orchard Street to high fashion's catwalks and Middle America shopping malls. Reaching deep to Southern plantation culture, the Black church, and Little Richard, director Sacha Jenkins' music-drenched history draws from a rich mix of archival materials and in-depth interviews with rappers, designers, and other industry insiders, such as Pharrell Williams, Damon Dash, Karl Kani, Kanye West, Nasir Jones, and André Leon Talley. The result is a passionate telling of how the reach for freedom of expression and a better life by a culture that refused to be squashed, would, through sheer originality and swagger, take over the mainstream. 2 ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS SACHA JENKINS – Director Sacha Jenkins, a native New Yorker, published his first magazine—Graphic Scenes & X-Plicit Language (a ‘zine about the graffiti subculture)—at age 17.
