GEMS World 's ninth-graders meet the school's pre-K students to mark the start of the school year

GEMS Starts Another Year of Learning

The 2017-2018 school year is underway at GEMS World Academy Chicago. Our students, including our first cohort of ninth-graders, returned to school smiling and ready to learn. During the first couple of weeks, students got to know their teachers (and each other), gathered together at all-school assemblies and launched a new set of inquiries in class and in neighborhoods all over Chicago. We're excited for all of the rich and rewarding learning activities that will take place at GEMS this school year. See photos from the first couple of weeks here.
