Be Featured on AUWCL Website! American University Washington College of ’s new website is uniquely designed for students and alumni to share their success stories with the world. From their impressive journeys as law students to their inspiring careers as the next generation of , what separates AUWCL students and alumni are not only their exceptional skills and experiences, but their entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, and their courage in shaping the law for a better future. Here are three ways to be featured on the website:

Impact Stories: We invite students and alumni to submit a brief statement (400-700 words) to [email protected], describing how your contributions have made a positive impact, big or small, local, national, or global, in an area of importance to you. Don’t be shy! We love to hear about and share your aspirations, causes close to your heart, your personal, academic, and career endeavors and achievements in law and beyond, including but not limited to, scholarship, leadership roles, experiential opportunities, student activities, community engagement, philanthropic work, and service engagement. Please also tell us how AUWCL has helped you in your endeavors.

If your impact story speaks to one or more of the following main areas of law, you will automatically be featured on students and alumni spotlight sections of the Areas of Study page, which provides streamlined information about the school’s curricular offerings, programs, and student and alumni activities in: , business law, arbitration and , , communications and media law, , , , and humanitarian law, law, intellectual , technology and cyber law, , gender and the law, law and , litigation and advocacy, and public interest law. To be considered, your submission should include your full name, year of graduation, and a recent photo with minimum dimensions of 413 W x 229 H pixels (landscape photo). Those with accepted submissions but no professional photos will be contacted by Shayan Davoudi, Communication Coordinator, to take a new photo. Students, alumni, faculty, and staff are strongly encouraged to nominate students or alumni by submitting their impact stories. Be sure to include the nominee’s contact information.

Law Wire highlights recent publications by students, faculty, and alumni on current legal topics in the U.S. and around the world. Op-eds, short articles, law review articles, book reviews will be directly linked via Law Wire with a brief summary. Publications on Law Wire will be tagged and featured under one or more main areas of law, including administrative law, business law, arbitration and dispute resolution, criminal law, constitutional law, environmental law, health law, human rights and humanitarian law, , , technology and cyber, international law, gender and the law, law and government, and public interest law. Additionally, the three most recent publications will automatically be featured under one or more of the same main Areas of Study. AUWCL journal and brief editor(s)-in-chief are encouraged to send their featured articles. There is no limit on the number of articles or submissions to Law Wire. We also welcome students who are not part of a journal or brief to send their recent publications concerning a current legal topic. Publications must be emailed to [email protected] with the author’s name, graduation year, and current title/position along with a high quality headshot.
