There were a lot of protests on campus and an 8 p.m. curfew was put into effect; the National Guard was stationed all over cam- pus. The night after the Kent State shooting, I was leaving the architecture building late (we were always work- ing late) and was arrested, just outside of the building as I was walking to my car.
