Meetings
Tuesday 14th January Glasgow Group Committee meet in the downstairs room, Unitarian Church, 72 Berkeley Street, Glasgow with the meeting commencing at 6.45 pm

Saturday 25th January North Strathclyde AGM will be held in Meeting Room (First floor) of Friends Meeting House, 38 Elmbank Crescent, Glasgow, G2 4PS, 10 am for
a 10.30 start. Glasgow Group are hosting and will be providing refreshments. ALL welcome

Path maintenance
As you probably saw in the recent Ramblers Scotland information the Glasgow trail has upcoming maintenance days. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to be involved. Let that be your New Year resolution
Introductory Walk for Ramblers Scotland
Sunday 26th April VOLUNTEERS needed
Glasgow Group will be organising & leading an introductory walk for non members. Catherine Watt will be leading a walk at Lochwinnoch and is looking for 4 or 5 members to chat to participants about the advantages of Ramblers. If you can help then email Catherine, [email protected]
Coach Trip News . . . . .
Saturday 8th February a SECOND walk is now on offer.
Thank you if you have already booked and paid for your place. A second walk has been added, as during the Recce for the first walk, the walk leader encountered a few muddy patches plus considering the weather and changeable conditions at the time of year, it has been decided to offer a second walk. So . . Walk 1 Aberfoyle to Callander along Rob Roy Way, 10 miles, led by Alan Watt
Walk 2 Three Bridges Callander, 5-6 miles, led by Catherine Watt
A few places on the coach are still available. Email the Walk Leader Alan Watt, [email protected] to check availability.
Coach leaves from Beith Street, Partick @ 9am prompt. Choosing which walk can be decided on the day of the trip.

Weekend Away
Group Weekend at Ardrishaig, Argyll, Friday 2nd October to Sunday 4th October
Following the success of recent Autumn weekends in Pitlochry, Hadrian's Wall, Berwick upon Tweed, Creetown
Ian & Bobby plan to co-lead a weekend away at Ardrishaig in early October.
The proposal is for Ian and Bobby to lead walks of varying lengths, with 1 or 2 moderate ascents, in the Crinan, Tayvallich, Kilmartin and Ardrishaig areas.
A beautiful part of Scotland rarely visited by Glasgow Group Accommodation will be at the Argyll Backpackers Hostel, just south of Ardrishaig on the banks of Loch Fyne, a 2 hour drive from Glasgow. The hostel has a range of accommodation full details can be found on its website https://www.argyllbackpackers.com
The proposed cost for 2 nights accommodation is £46 per person.
