Illustrated with black and white photos, 82pp. Kenneth T. Bainbridge was the physicist who directed the first test of an atomic bomb on July 16, 1945. This account of the preparations and results of the test was written shortly after the test. This is the declassified version, with photos added. Bindings tight. Gilt top edge, deckle edge. Interiors generally clean and free of markings except for previous owner's notes and name on front endpapers. Soiled edges. Volume II has a few chips and sticking endpapers from water damage in rear.
