To participants: This checklist is provided so you can list the species you see and take home a reminder of what you saw. Species are listed by general vernacular name with the modifer part(s) 34th Annual Spring Wildflower Count following them, so for example all with “Cress” as part of the name are listed under that. Brown and Monroe Counties A few of the names have changed from those used in past checklists. This was done to update the scientific nomenclature and vernacular names so they agree with the currently 22–24 April 2016 accepted names that will be used in the Vascular Catalogue, which will go to press soon. The number in parenthesis after the vernacular name is the species number Held in Conjunction with the used in Field Guide to Indiana Wildflowers by Kay Yatskievych, published in 2000, by 31st Annual Spring Wildflower Foray Indiana University Press.

To hike leaders: Please have someone in your group fill out a checklist of the species seen growing outside of cultivation and IN BLOOM. Write the number of the hike or the hike location and the person recording in the space below. Hike number or location ______Recorder ______Phone number ______

Write in any new species seen below. Turn in the checklist to Kay Yatskievych or Andrea deTarnowsky by the beginning of the Saturday night get-together.
