2020 Genesis G90 Welcome to Genesis 2020 GENESIS G90 WELCOME TO GENESIS. From our award-winning line of luxury automobiles to the innovative services we offer, Genesis is driven to create an exceptional ownership experience that satisfies you like never before. That focus has helped Genesis quickly emerge among the leaders in quality, satisfaction and safety. One example: In its survey of new car owners, the 2019 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study ranks Genesis #1 among all automotive brands for the second year in a row.1 Genesis has also emerged as a leader in automotive design and safety – every vehicle in our lineup features an array of advanced technologies that have earned the industry’s top safety awards. For 2020, we’re introducing the next evolution of our flagship G90 luxury sedan that earned the highest initial quality ranking for a large premium car last year. Like everything we do at Genesis, its stunning refinements are the result of a singular focus on what matters the most: Putting you first. #1 Ranked Brand in Initial Quality 2 Years in a Row THE NEW FACE OF MODERN LUXURY. With its powerful presence, the 2020 Genesis G90 expresses a confidence that’s magnetic. Even when standing still, its bold new design gives an impression of athletic grace. The new G90 greets you with dynamic front styling that features quad lamps and its Genesis Crest grille – signatures of the Genesis identity first shown in a series of design concepts revealed to global buzz at the world’s leading auto shows. Look closer at the four independent LED headlight modules, and you’ll notice a diamond-shaped G-Matrix pattern etched within each one that reflects light like a perfectly cut diamond. That same effect is echoed in the G90’s grille, wheels and taillights – even the quilted pattern sewn into its Nappa leather seats. Wherever your eye lands, the G90 instantly elevates expectations of stirring performance and luxury executed with effortless precision. GENESIS G90 5.0 Ultimate in Adriatic Blue A REFLECTION OF HOW LIFE SHOULD BE LIVED. A luxury car is more than mere transportation. It is a form of self-expression, reflecting its owner’s sense of how life is to be lived. So, when considering refinements to the Genesis G90 for 2020, we knew you’d be the ultimate judge of every change we made. The G90’s new design had to surpass your expectations of how a luxury car should look. Its technologies had to make you more comfortable, and less stressed. Most of all, the new G90 had to excite your senses, placing you in a space crafted from natural, beautifully integrated materials. Beneath the skin, a rigid chassis and meticulously engineered steering and suspension systems give the G90 3.3T Premium and 5.0 Ultimate confident, composed handling and a smooth, highly refined ride. An array of advanced sensors, cameras and technologies elevate your security with an unrivaled set of standard safety features. When considering the G90 3.3T Premium and 5.0 Ultimate, remember – it’s not just a question of choosing which luxury performance sedan you want to drive. It’s a question of how you want to move through life. “IT WOULD BE WRONG TO CREATE A CERTAIN LEVEL OF EXPECTATIONS AND SIMPLY FULFILL THEM. YOU HAVE TO BEAT THEM. YOU HAVE TO GO FURTHER. WE WANT TO CREATE THINGS THAT MOVE THE CAR INDUSTRY FORWARD OVER TIME.” ~ Luc Donckerwolke Executive Vice President Chief Design Officer GENESIS G90 5.0 Ultimate in Adriatic Blue G90 3.3T PREMIUM LIVE LIFE TURBOCHARGED. Our 3.3T Premium model gets its name from its remarkable engine, a 3.3L Twin-Turbo rated at 365 HP.2 With two turbochargers, there is virtually no lag in the boost you feel when pressing the accelerator pedal. The thrust of power is immediate, and the sound is unmistakable. So is the feeling. The G90 3.3T delivers precise handling – yet still maintains a smooth, unruffled ride thanks to an ultra-rigid chassis whose torsional stiffness dramatically reduces steering vibration and road noise. A Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension optimizes handling and comfort using sensors that read the road surface, then signal the G90’s Continuous Damping Control to micro-adjust the firmness of its shock absorbers. This all happens in milliseconds using separate channels for compression and rebound. As you’re driving, the G90’s suspension is reacting in real time to whatever the situation requires. Driving over a pothole? The G90’s adaptive suspension softens its shock absorbers to soak up any impacts before they can disturb the comfort of you and your passengers. Making a rapid move to avoid debris in your path? The G90 instantly firms its suspension to help counteract body roll and keep its stylish new 19˝wheels and tires riveted to the road. 365 HP 376 lb-ft Torque GENESIS G90 3.3T Premium in Vik Black G90 3.3T PREMIUM THE ART OF CRAFTSMANSHIP. Press the button on the door handle of your G90 3.3T Premium, and it unlocks automatically by sensing your Proximity Key. Once you’re seated, a power closure feature helps secure your door. Open-pore, matte-finish wood trims the dash and accents other areas of the interior. And that signature G-Matrix pattern quilted into the seatbacks and seat cushions? It’s available in a choice of five colors, each with its own wood trim tone. Look closer: The 17-speaker Lexicon® audio system grilles are machined aluminum, and many of the switches on the dash are chrome-plated. You can illuminate your G90’s class-leading interior space3 with seven different ambient lighting colors. THE SCIENCE OF ACOUSTICS. What may impress you the most is what’s missing. Thanks to a combination of sound-insulating acoustic glass, triple-sealed doors and other measures, the G90 cabin is profoundly quiet. It’s also refreshingly clean – air quality is monitored by a 3 segment-first CO2 Sensor. If elevated levels of carbon dioxide are detected, the ventilation system automatically refreshes the cabin air to help reduce driver fatigue. • Class Action Lawsuit Alleges
Hyundai Genesis SUV Shudders and ‘Uncontrollably Veers,’ Class Action Lawsuit Alleges June 10, 2021 Owners of the Hyundai Genesis SUV thought they were buying “true luxury,” but instead got a vehicle that uncontrollably veers off the road while driving at moderate speeds, a new nationwide class action lawsuit alleges. Plaintiff Dr. Barbara Feinstein filed the class action lawsuit against Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Motor America, and Genesis Motor America LLC Wednesday in a Maryland federal court, alleging violations of Maryland and federal laws. She says the trio are the designers, manufactures, distributors, sellers and promoters of Genesis automobiles – Hyundai/Genesis’ proclaimed, “luxury line of automobiles.” In 2021, Hyundai/Genesis introduced its first ever SUV, the Genesis GV-80, which is the Class Vehicle, and was marketed as being “equipped with high-performance capabilities that make for fun, powerful and truly dynamic driving on or off road.” Unfortunately, consumers have not experienced the high-performance capabilities that Hyundai/Genesis promised, Feinstein alleges. “Consumers, such as Plaintiff, who purchased or leased a Hyundai/Genesis GV-80 SUV, have instead experienced dangerous instability, shuddering, vibrations and uncontrolled veering of their SUVs, while driving at moderate speeds.” Feinstein alleges Hyundai/Genesis knew of the defects in the SUVs, and in June 2020 confirmed that it had to halt distribution of the diesel Genesis GV-80 SUV due to “vibration issues” of the engine. “Despite this knowledge, however,
