A signifant contrast can be seen when compared with the SIFC building across the street, which is showing smooth progress with several stories up already. The City of Seoul reached an agreement in 2005 with an overseas financial institution to begin the construction of the SIFC on the city owned lot and designated Yeouido as a 'Global Financial Center' in February of this year. SIFC and Parc 1 function as essential landmarks of this international financial center. The 56 story SIFC and 72 story Parc 1 were destined to become the new skyscrapers of Seoul. The reason the construction stopped as of November, 2010 is the result of a dispute between the land owner and the superficiary. The original owner of the land is the “Support Foundation for the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity” (hereinafter referred to as the Unification Church Foundation), is the owner of this piece of land and signed a contract with Y22 Finance Investment in May of 2005, which gave Y22 a 99 year term for control over the superficies.

    Armstrongism and the Worldwide Church of God I. WHERE THIS CULT ORIGINATED A. This cult can be traced back to a man by the name of Herbert W. Armstrong and his supposed divine appointments. 1. Herbert Armstrong started out his career asa promotional and advertising man in Des Moines, Iowa in 1912. But in 1920 his advertising business failed in what he described as a flash depression 2. In 1924 Armstrong moved to Oregon and on two more separate occasions his business enterprises `failed because of what he described as "forces beyond his control". 3. Sometime between 1924 and 1931 Armstrong was supposedly converted and began to write and do evangelistic work. 4. It is interesting to note that Armstrong's conversion came about through his wife's discovery and it was a conversion to what she had found. She believed that obedience to God's spiritual laws which were summed upin the ten commandments was necessary for salvation. 5. Armstrong at first set out to prove that his wife was wrong but later he concluded that she had indeed found the truth which meant to him that most of Christendom was not proclaiming the truth. 6. Armstrong was ordained in Eugene, Oregon in 1931 and began to conductevangelistic campaigns there. 7. In January 1934 Armstrong began a radio program in Eugene~ Oregon entitled "The World Tomorrow" and with his incredible speaking and promotional abilities he launched his cultist career filled with all kinds of false and heretical teachings. 8. At exactly 10A.M. on January 1934 Armstrong declared this to be the starting point of the fulfillment of 90% of all Bible prophecies.

Nondualism and the Divine Domain Burton Daniels This paper claims that the ultimate issue confronting transpersonal theory is that of nondual- ism. The revelation of this spiritual reality has a long history in the spiritual traditions, which has been perhaps most prolifically advocated by Ken Wilber (1995, 2000a), and fully explicat- ed by David Loy (1998). Nonetheless, these scholarly accounts of nondual reality, and the spir- itual traditions upon which they are based, either do not include or else misrepresent the reve- lation of a contemporary spiritual master crucial to the understanding of nondualism. Avatar Adi Da not only offers a greater differentiation of nondual reality than can be found in contem- porary scholarly texts, but also a dimension of nondualism not found in any previous spiritual revelation.

And to Hank, for teaching me how rivers form. 2 Abstract This dissertation involves the development of a geologic framework applied to upper Pleistocene and earliest Holocene archaeological site discovery. It is argued that efforts to identify colonizer archaeological sites require knowledge of geologic processes, Quaternary stratigraphic detail and an understanding of basic soil science principles. An overview of Quaternary geologic deposits based on previous work in the region is presented. This is augmented by original research which presents a new, proposed regional pedostratigraphic framework, a new source of lithic raw material, the Beezley chalcedony, and details of a new cache of lithic tools with Paleoindian affinities made from this previously undescribed stone source. 3 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The list of people who deserve my thanks and appreciation is large.
