U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration REGISTER U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration REGISTER A Daily Summary of Motor Carrier Applications and of Decisions and Notices Issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration DECISIONS AND NOTICES RELEASED August 13, 2018 -- 10:30 AM NOTICE Please note the timeframe required to revoke a motor carrier's operating authority for failing to have sufficient levels of insurance on file is a 33 day process. The process will only allow a carrier to hold operating authority without insurance reflected on our Licensing and Insurance database for up to three (3) days. Revocation decisions will be tied to our enforcement program which will focus on the operations of uninsured carriers. This process will further ensure that the public is adequately protected in case of a motor carrier crash. Accordingly, we are adopting the following procedure for revocation of authority; 1) The first notice will go out three (3) days after FMCSA receives notification from the insurance company that the carrier's policy will be cancelled in 30 days. This notification informs the carrier that it must provide evidence that it is in full compliance with FMCSA's insurance regulations within 30 days. 2) If the carrier has not complied with FMCSA's insurance requirements after 30 days, a final decision revoking the operating authority will be issued. Thanks to the office staff in the Department of Agricultural Economics for their consistent support over the past eight months. Appreciation is also extended to staff members: Dr. Larry Leistritz, Dean Bangsund, Dr. David Saxowsky, and Ed Janzen for their suggestions on how to fine-tune this document. Proof reader Bonnie Cooper, photo specialist Darren Rogness, and graphic designer Dave Haasser also contributed. Also appreciated are statistics analyst Carrie Jacobson and Krysta Olson and Jessica Budeau for their data entry work. A special thank you goes to Cass County Electric Cooperative which allowed the mailing of the Public Tourism Survey in a monthly electric bill envelope. That assistance saved this project thousands of dollars in postage. Thanks, too, to the residents of south Fargo who took the time to express their opinions about tourism. And finally, to the long list of individuals interviewed for this report.

  • SDDOT Recommends Heartland Expressway and Theodore Roosevelt Expressway As Critical to Rural Freight Movement
News Release ‐ For Immediate Release September 20, 2016 Contact: Michael Reeves (806) 775‐2338 [email protected] SDDOT Recommends Heartland Expressway and Theodore Roosevelt Expressway as Critical to Rural Freight Movement The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) closed a comment period on September 6, 2016 allowing state departments of transportation (DOTs) to make recommendations to the Undersecretary of Transportation for Policy on critical rural freight facilities and corridors that should be included in the National Multimodal Freight Network (NMFN). The NMFN looks to the future with the purpose of assisting states in directing resources, informing freight transportation planning, and assisting in prioritization of Federal investment. The Theodore Roosevelt Expressway Association, Ports‐to‐Plains Alliance and South Dakota Department of Transportation submitted comments urging USDOT to include the Heartland Expressway, the Theodore Roosevelt Expressway and the Ports‐to‐Plains Corridor in this Final National Multimodal Freight Network. The Theodore Roosevelt Expressway Association provided comment asking USDOT to “Consider inclusion of the congressionally designated High Priority Corridors on the National Highway System, Including the Heartland Expressway from Rapid City south to Nebraska and U.S. Highway 85 from the South Dakota/North Dakota state line to Interstate 90 at Spearfish, South Dakota, as a Critical Rural Freight Facility and Corridor (CRFFC).” Michael Reeves, President of the Ports‐Alliance,

  • Chapter 9: Vision Plan
Chapter 9: Vision Plan Chapter 9 Vision Plan Lake Loveland. Image179 Credit: City of Loveland Chapter 9: Vision Plan Chapter 9: Vision Plan A. Regionally Significant Corridor and Regional Bike Corridor Visions Corridor visioning seeks to develop visions, goals, and objectives for the Regionally Significant Corridors (RSC), defined in Chapter 2 and shown in Figure 9-1, and the Regional Bike Corridors (RBC), defined in the 2013 Regional Bike Plan, shown in Figure 9-31. Each corridor has its own unique transportation characteristics which include one or more modes and facilities within a defined geographic segment, having a length from west to east or north to south. Many existing corridor segments have names which differ from the corridor name, this difference is defined for each jurisdiction the corridor passes through. The visions provide a general description of each corridors current travel modes, primary future travel modes, geographic and social environment, and the priorities of the communities served by the corridor. The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) recognizes corridors identified as regionally significant within the NFRMPO often extend beyond the NFRMPO boundary. The NFRMPO makes an effort to coordinate with the adjacent planning organizations of Upper Front Range (UFR) Transportation Planning Region (TPR) and the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) in the development of visions. The visions in this chapter are only for those segments within the NFRMPO boundary. The 2040 Goals, Objectives,

  • The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command
THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION SASKATCHEWAN COMMAND COMMEMORATIVE HISTORY BOOK A Collection of Memories, Activities and Community Commitment from our Branches and Members throughout the Province! The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command President’s Message It is with considerable pleasure that I extend best wishes and sincere thanks on behalf of the members, Ladies’ Auxiliary and staff of The Royal Canadian Legion, Saskatchewan Command to those that assisted with the production of this Commemorative Book. It is most fitting that this book that outlines the proud history of The Royal Canadian Legion in Saskatchewan should be produced in this, the 80th anniversary of the formation of The Royal Canadian Legion. What better way to preserve the elements of the sacrifices that were made on behalf of all of us by those brave men and women who rose to the task of defending freedom and purchasing the values that we all hold dear. These values -Remembrance, Service, Comradeship and Traditions - are the very things that have held The Royal Canadian Legion together throughout its magnificent history. As in any production of this type, there are countless volunteers who have taken the time and made the effort to ensure that their branch histories are included, which all together make this organization stand proud of what it has accomplished - whether it be in the small rural communities or in the larger urban centres - and this book will serve as a lasting tribute to all Veterans who accepted the challenge in the service of their sovereign and country. With this Commemorative Book, we can ensure that The Legion's story will be remembered in a most appropriate style and manner, and our thanks go out to Fenety Marketing Services for producing such a worthwhile document for our Command.
