1 Seadogs boat trips operate from the pontoons by the old slipway at Kyle. This is where the famous Skye Ferry ran before the bridge was opened in October 1994. From this point on Lochalsh we can go North or South to explore the sea around the Isle of Skye. If you want to see the castle from a unique perspective, then come with us. The castle from the sea is a view that few people get. Trips to other islands and harbours such as the Isla of Rhum, Raasay or the beautiful harbour on Rhona. Maybe you’d like to see the famous villages of Applecross or Plockton. It would be unusual to take a trip and not see some of the local wildlife that include seals, dolphins and sea eagles. If you have read the book ‘Ring of Brightwater’, you may enjoy a trip to see the place where it all took place. On the way there we go through the KyleRhea, where the sea races through the narrow gap, a spectacular experience if the tides right! On the way through we will pass the only manually operated turntable ferry in Scotland – the Glenachulish. Fishing rods are onboard if you fancy seeing if there’s Oban has a wide selection of excellent restaurants with sea food a anything about, fish are returning as more areas are speciality, and being known as “The seafood Capital Of Scotland”. There protected from commercial fishing. You can take your are a good variety of shops and many attractions and trips to enjoy. Oban catch home or just release it back to the lochs. has an uncanny way of bringing out the romantic and mystical side of its visitors.
