Watersports in Glencoe and Loch Leven Not only are we immersed in spectacular mountain scenery, we are also surrounded by beautiful rivers and sea lochs which ensures we have water to explore at any time of year. Kayaking and sea kayaking There is tremendous potential for sea kayaking in the area, from the sheltered Loch Leven out to Loch Linnhe and then further afield to Loch Sunart. If you’re just beginning or fancy a guided trip ROCKHOPPER based in Fort William offer taster sessions or full day trips including all equipment hire – well recommended. There are great opportunities to engage with the local wildlife too – sightings have included seals, otters and seabirds galore! It does rain occasionally in Glencoe and this can lead to terrific kayaking conditions including the River Etive and the River Coe in spate. Slightly further afield you have the Rivers Spean and Garry. Whatever you’re doing you’re bound to get wet so don’t forget we have a top class purpose-built drying room for your kit! Rib Rides Why not try an exhilarating Rib Ride with Sea Xplorer- choose from 1 or 2 hours on Loch Leven. Vertical Descents Vertical Descents offer more adrenaline based activities such as canyoning, coasteering, gorge walking and white water rafting. Only 8 miles from us, extremely well organised and catering for groups and individuals. You can book directly with the companies involved or at the Dragons Tooth Golf Course. .
