Waste Minimisation Team at the School Gala - Big thanks to our Waste Heroes! What a fantastic job this team of students did at our school gala! After sorting and collating all our gala waste we ended up with only one bag going to landfill. The rest was either recycled or made into compost. This is a tremendous result and one to be very proud of! Students will be meeting this Friday to display their results and decide how to communicate this news to you in more detail. So watch this space! They will also think about how they can get closer to our Zero Waste target for next year.

Thanks so much to all our student and parent volunteers and of course Amanda Dobson from Enviroschools, James Micael from Organic Wealth and Dee Jones from Porirua City Council for supporting us all!

If you are keen to be part of the team next year, especially post gala with sorting and some heavy lifting, please get in touch with either Jannien Kamphuis [email protected] or Rachel Hall [email protected]
