Thank you again for making our Moolah Shrine Circus a huge success! Billy Martin again brought an entertaining show for the entire family. The additional elephants and pony rides offered everyone an opportunity to get a ride and have family fun. Of course, none of this can be done without our members volunteering their time. I also want to thank the youth groups that also volunteered their time. Seeing all of them helping as they did, shows promise of our future in Masonry and Shrinedom.

April also brought us a visit by the Imperial Potentate, Imp. Sir Jim Cain and his Lady Patsy. They were here on our open Stated Meeting night to listen to our Patient Ambassador Riley Desin speak. We also had the Imperial Chief Rabban Jeff Sowder and his Lady Cheryl. It was a fun and informative night.

We have a lot of new members that will be coming in on the May 4th Ceremonial. I know this will most likely not reach you by the 4th, but know Moolah is growing. Our next scheduled Ceremonial is October 26th. There is time to get your prospect into Blue Lodge and have degrees done. Also, talk to your friends that are already Masons and let them know how much fun it is to be a Shriner and how we help our kids.

May 11th is our Lincoln Drive event. Come out to the Temple that Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and take a test drive in a new Lincoln. A donation of $20 will be made to Moolah for every test drive taken up to $6,000. You must be 18 years old to take a test drive. It is open to everyone so get your friends and family to come out.

Mother’s Day is May 12th. We are having a brunch from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Temple ballroom. For a small price, you can treat your lady, or ladies, to a great meal in honor of their day. Call the office and get signed up. May 31st is the Ainad Circus Parade in Belleville Il. This is a big parade. Come out and help our Brothers kick off their Circus. Speaking of Ainad, last year we had a pinewood derby race at Moolah with our Brothers from Illinois. Moolah lost to them in the final race. This year we are going to Ainad in August for a ! Details will be coming.

June will be here soon and we are all in full summer mode and sunshine. Everyone be safe in whatever you are plan- ning to do. Wear sunscreen to keep from getting sunburned. Don’t forget a hat if you need more protection on top. There has been information in the media about the Foreigner concert on June 25th at the Family Arena. It should be a great concert. They will also be looking for volunteers to help sell CD’s like they do at other concerts. It is a great way to help volunteer your time, and also you get to see the show.

Imperial Session is coming up the first week in July. If you were planning on going to Nashville and have not made a room reservation please call the office. There may be some room left but we are running out fast.

CSSA is also coming up fast. Reservations are being made in Sioux City IA at the Stoney Creek Hotel. You need to make your own reservations for the rooms. We will be sending out a notice for registering fees with Moolah. This fee will cover the CSSA registration and Hospitality room for Moolah.

First Lady Diane and I hope to see all of you at the coming events.

Fraternally,

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

What a great job everyone did to make this Circus a success.

Make sure you get all monies turned in as soon as possible so we can get final numbers.

Also, another GREAT job by the Circus Committee for all their hard work in making this happen.

Let’s get started on 2020.

314-732-2121 or [email protected].

Let’s continue to make our circus the best ever, and to keep the seats full. 4 May Shriner of the Month Steve Lovell Our Shriner of the Month of May is Noble Steve Lovell. Steve is the Captain of the Motor Patrol. He was raised in 1993 at Magnolia-Euclid Lodge and has since served as Master of his Lodge. He is the Past President of the Motor Patrol, and a charter member of the Legion of Honor.

He is active with many of our events including Hospital Appreciation Day, Moolah Shrine Circus, parades and as an escort during our ceremonial to the Shriners Hospital.

The Moolah Public Relations Committee is honored to have Nobel Steve Lovell as our Shriner of the Month of May.

June Shriner of the Month Robby Gale Becoming a Shriner was predestined for Robby, he joined Syracuse Chapter DeMo- lay at the age of 16 and after serving in many offices including Master Councilor and receiving the Chevalier Award, he turned 21 and joined the Advisory Council. The Chairman of the Advisory Council was noble Robert J. Eustace, otherwise know as Winky the Clown, who served as his mentor in Masonry. Syracuse Chapter was sponsored by Tigris Shrine Temple and as a DeMolay he spent many years working at the Shrine Circus, selling coloring books. He joined Syracuse No. 501 F&AM, the Valley of Syracuse AASR and ultimately Tigris Shrine AAONMS and of course Tigris Shrine Clown Unit; all before the age of 23.

After graduating college, Robby moved to Pensacola, Florida to work for Monsanto and transferred to Hadji Temple and Hadji Shrine Clowns. He served as President of Hadji Clowns in both 1984 and 1985 and was named an Ambassador of Hadji Temple. In 1990, Monsanto moved Robby to the St. Louis area and he joined Moolah Temple and Moolah Clowns. Robby has served in many roles within the Clowns and is currently Parliamentarian and Chaplain. He was appointed an Ambassador of Moolah Temple by Ill. Sir Patrick Hensley. Several years ago Robby was awarded the Legion of Honor with DeMolay and last year received his 50 year membership pin for DeMolay. He is still a member of (now) Liverpool-Syra- cuse No. 501 F&AM and the Valley of Syracuse AASR, approaching the 50 year mark in both. He will have been a Shrine Clown for 46 years this summer. Although he retired two years ago, he has no plans on retiring from the Shrine Clowns.

The Moolah Public Relations Committee is honored to have Noble Robby Gale as our June Shriner of the Month. “Together we are one!” -Illustrious Sir Don Taylor 5 6 2019 DONATIONS - THANK YOU! Greetings from your Moolah Community Band! Our mission is twofold: playing for the children in our hospital and bringing joy into the lives of local nursing home residents. Both are truly “Noble” objectives! Our nursing home concerts are usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. We also play during the dinner hour before Stated Meetings.

We are a “community” band composed of both Nobles and non-Nobles. We are always looking for anyone, regardless of ability, who wants to experience the thrill of playing in a band again. So, if you or any of your relatives or friends want to play, we will gladly welcome you to your band.

We are working on new music for the upcoming concert season, so drop by our practices on any Wednesday at 7pm to check us out, or even sit in!
