ROTHENBERG NAMED TO BUSTER POSEY AWARD WATCH LIST Senior Michael Rothenberg, out of Boca Raton, Fla., earned recognition on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List for the second consecutive season. In the shortened 2020 season, Rothenberg batted .349 with an ACC-leading .551 on-base percentage. He also topped the team with 17 RBIs, 15 walks and eight HBP.

CHRIS NINTH SEASON AT DUKE 14 Chris Pollard became Duke University’s 25th head baseball coach in June 2012, taking the reigns of the Blue Devil program after successful stints at Pfeiffer University and Appalachian State University. In addition to guiding the Blue Devils to six straight 30-win seasons, Pollard led Duke to an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Tournament, ending the program’s 55-year drought without making the postseason event. Pollard became the fastest Duke head coach to reach 100 wins with the Blue Devils, recording his 100th victory at Duke on March 15, 2016 against Maryland Eastern Shore. During Pollard’s tenure, 25 Blue Devils have been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.
