The 2016-17 season marks the beginning of a new era at AFC Fylde. We have moved into the state-of-the-art new ground at Mill Farm – our very own Theatre of Dreams – and we want you to be part of the journey! PAST In 2008, to embrace the greater football community, the club changed its name from Kirkham and Wesham to become AFC Fylde. This change was made in order to further the club’s ambition to develop and grow throughout the region and ultimately become an established member of The Football League by 2022. PRESENT The Coasters suffered heartbreak in the play-off final last season and start the forthcoming National League North campaign as one of the clear favourites for promotion. Fylde have enjoyed many highlights over the past 12 months, including an FA Cup first round trip to Millwall, an FA Trophy last 16 matchup against Gateshead and received many plaudits throughout the season. Manager Dave Challinor has strengthened his side with flair and experience over the course of the summer and the Coasters head into the new season looking to go one better this time around. FUTURE Fylde realised a dream this summer as they moved into their multi-million pound new stadium – a real statement of intent from the club’s chairman. The decision has also been made to switch to full-time football as the Coasters aim to continue their rapid rise up the football pyramid. Mill Farm, located just a quarter of a mile from Junction 3 of the M55, boasts a unique sports bar, a mediterranean restaurant, conference facilities and 12 3G sports pitches. So why not become part of the journey... 3 AFC brochure v4_Layout 1 24/06/2016 17:04 Page 4 AFC FYLDE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY 2016 will be a monumental year for AFC Fylde as we move into our new home - the multi-million pound development at Mill Farm Sports Village. A NEW ERA FOR AFC FYLDE This is an extremely prestigious and exciting development and is a great opportunity for organisations to gain recognition from the hundreds of thousands of people who will use these facilities each and every year. 4 AFC brochure v4_Layout 1 24/06/2016 17:04 Page 5 GROUND NAMING RIGHTS The 31 acre leisure and retail development is to the north of Kirkham and just a minute from Junction 3 of the M55. The sports focused development is anchored by our new 6,000 capacity stadium, along with associated external sports 3G pitches that will see hockey and rugby also played competitively on the site. The associated commercial development will include an Aldi food store, a new 100,000 sq ft distribution centre for Trilanco, one of the UK’s leading wholesalers, a Kentucky Fried Chicken Drive Thru and a Eurogarages petrol filling station with an associated convenience store. The wide range of sporting, educational and leisure facilities will place the development at the very heart of the local community and maximise footfall. THE OPPORTUNITY The new stadium is yet to be named and as such you and your business could be the first. Whether it is airlines such as Etihad or Emirates, or credit card companies such as American Express or Barclays, all have recognised the value of associating their brands with football clubs. This could be your great chance. 5 AFC brochure v4_Layout 1 24/06/2016 17:04 Page 6 AFC FYLDE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY PITCH MATCHDAY BOXES OVERVIEW PLAN HALFWAY LINE HALFWAY Box Box Box SOLD SOLD SOLD 6 5 4 3 2 1 MATCHDAY EXECUTIVE BOXES 6 AFC brochure v4_Layout 1 24/06/2016 17:04 Page 7 MATCHDAY EXECUTIVE BOXES Why not enjoy the new football season in a private matchday box of your own and absorb the excitement in the sumptuous surroundings. APPEAL BOARD OF THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION BETWEEN: SLOUGH TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB Appellant -and- THE NATIONAL LEAGUE Respondent DECISION OF THE APPEAL BOARD Hearing: 10 June 2021 Appeal Board: David Casement QC (Chairperson) Independent Specialist Panel Member Matt Wild Independent Football Panel Member Andrew Adie Independent Football Panel Member Michael O’Connor Lead Judicial Services Officer - Secretary Club: Kerry Underwood Solicitor Mike Lightfoot Chairman Kay Lathey General Secretary The National League: Mark Ives General Manager - 1 - Background 1. The general background to this appeal is that as a result of the global pandemic football clubs have been severely affected by the inability to admit fans to matches and have thereby lost substantial parts of their revenue. Government support was provided to clubs in the National League, National League North and National League South in the form of Government grants for the period up to December 2020 however despite the hopes or expectations of many the Government decided that financial support thereafter would generally be in the form of loans. That change in the type of financial assistance was met with great disappointment by clubs. There was also a well-publicised and substantial increase in the rate of infection in December 2020 and January 2021, leading to a further national lockdown being announced by the Government on 4 January 2021. 2. On 22 January 2021 the National League (“the League”) temporarily suspended the Step 2 Competition with immediate effect for two weeks until 6 February 2021. It was clear that, subject to any decision being made to end the season early, fixtures after 6 February 2021 would be effective.
