M/s. Shyam Sundar Briquette & Soft Coke Industries , Vill.- Alipur, P.O.- Panuria, P.S. Barabani, Dist.- Burdwan 2. M/s. Maa Mahamaya Industries, Vill.–Billa, P.S.- Barabani, Dist- Burdwan 3. M/s. Joy Guru Briquette,Vhittaranjan Road, P.O. & P.S.- Salanpur, Dist.- Burdwan. 4. M/s. Maa Tara Enterprise,Vill. & P.O.- Jamgram, P.S.- Barabani, Dist.- Burdwan 5. M/s. Maa Tara Coal Briquette & Firebricks ,Kadavita P.S.- Kulti, P.O.- Kalyaneswari, Dist.- Burdwan 6. M/s. Maa Kalyaneswari Coke Briquette,314, Nh-2, Bye Pass Road, Salanpur, P.S.- Kulti, Dist.- Burdwan 7. M/s. Nilachal Coke Briquette ,P.O.- Kapista, P.S.- Jamgram, Dist.- Burdwan 8. M/s. Mukherjee Enterprise,Vill.- Madhaichak, P.O.- Ethora, P.S.- Salanpur, Dist.- Burdwan AND WHEREAS, the above eight number industries were called for a hearing on 14.09.12 at the Head Office of the State Board. AND WHEREAS, the status of the above industries in respect of appearance in the hearing and permission of the Board is tabulated as follows: Sl. Shyam Sundar Nobody appeared The unit obtained NOC on Briquette & Soft Coke 21/03/2005 from the Board. Last Industries, Vill.- Alipur, Consent to Operate under Red P.O.- Panuria, P.S. Category was valid up to 31/12/2010 Barabani, Dist.- Burdwan though the Consent fee is cleared up to June 2013. Fractional Consent was issued up to 31/12/2010 because the unit did not install proper air pollution control device and a direction was issued accordingly on 13/10/2011. 02 M/S. Maa Mahamaya Shri Nilay Banerjee The unit obtained NOC under Red Industries Category on 20/05/2004 from the Vill.–Billa, P.S.- Board. The unit did not apply for Barabani, Dist- Burdwan Consent to Operate till date. As stated by the representative of the unit, the industry is presently closed. 03 M/S. Joy Guru Briquette Shri Ramasish The unit obtained NOC on Vhittaranjan Road, Mukherjee 03/02/1999 from the Board. Last P.O. & P.S.- Salanpur, Consent to Operate under Red Dist.- Burdwan Category was valid up to 30/09/2005. The unit did not apply for renewal of Consent till date. As stated by the representative of the unit, the industry is presently closed. 04 M/S. Maa Tara Enterprise Shri Kali Shankar Roy The unit obtained NOC on Vill. & P.O.- Jamgram, 08/08/2001 from the Board. Last P.S.- Barabani, Consent to Operate under Red Dist.- Burdwan Category was valid up to 11/07/2004. The unit had applied for renewal of Consent on 03/05/2010 but the Consent was not granted as the unit did not install any APC device. As stated by the representative of the unit, the industry is presently closed. 05 M/S. Maa Tara Coal Nobody appeared The unit obtained NOC on Briquette & Firebricks 11/08/2004 and NOC for expansion Kadavita P.S.- Kulti, on 28/02/2005 from the Board. The P.O.- Kalyaneswari, unit did not apply for Consent to Dist.- Burdwan Operate till date. 06 M/S. Maa Kalyaneswari Nobody appeared The unit obtained NOC on Coke Briquette 16/08/2001 from the Board. Last 314, Nh-2, Bye Pass Consent to Operate under Red Road, Salanpur, P.S.- Category was valid up to Kulti, Dist.- Burdwan 30/06/2007. The unit did not apply for renewal of Consent till date. 07 M/S. Nilachal Coke Shri Baljit Kisku The unit obtained NOC on Briquette 30/08/2011 from the Board. The P.O.- Kapista, P.S.- unit did not apply for Consent to Jamgram, Dist.- Burdwan Operate till date. As stated by the representative of the unit, the industry is operating. 08 M/S. Mukherjee Shri Susanta The unit obtained NOC on Enterprise Mukherjee 30/04/1999 from the Board. Last Vill.- Madhaichak, P.O.- Consent to Operate under Red Ethora, P.S.- Salanpur, Category was valid up to Dist.- Burdwan 19/02/2006. The unit did not apply for renewal of Consent till date. As stated by the representative of the unit, the industry is presently closed. NOW THEREFORE, considering the fact that the industries are being operated without valid ‘Consent to Operate’ of the Board, all the above eight (08) industries are hereby closed by the Board with immediate effect. The electricity connection of the above mentioned industries are ordered to be disconnected forthwith. The Director (HR), WBSEDCL, is requested to take necessary steps to disconnect the electricity connection of the industries mentioned in Sl. 1,2,3,4,6 & 7 immediately. The Officer-In-Charge, Barabani Police Station, Dist.- Burdwan is directed to execute the closure order against the aforementioned three (03) industries(Sl. No. 1,2 & 4 ) and submit compliance report to the State Board within seven(7) days from the receipt of this Memo. The Officer-In-Charge, Salanpur Police Station, Dist.- Burdwan is directed to execute the closure order against the aforementioned two (02) industries(Sl. No. 3 & 8) and submit compliance report to the State Board within seven(7) days from the receipt of this Memo. The Officer-In-Charge, Kulti Police Station, Dist.- Burdwan is directed to execute the closure order against the aforementioned two(02) industries(Sl. No. 5 & 6) and submit compliance report to the State Board within seven(7) days from the receipt of this Memo. The Officer-In-Charge, Jamgram Police Station, Dist.- Burdwan is directed to execute the closure order against the aforementioned one (01) industry(Sl. No. 7) and submit compliance report to the State Board within seven(7) days from the receipt of this Memo. This direction is being issued to the Officer-in-Charge of Barabani Police Station, Salanpur Police Station Kulti Police Station, Jamgram Police Station, Dist-Burdwan & the Director (HR), WBSEDCL in conformity with the order of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta dated 21/08/1998 and 28/04/1999 respectively. The Asst. Environmental Engineer & In-charge, Asansol Sub-regional Office of the Board is requested to take necessary steps for proper execution of the closure order and also visit the industry involving the local police station and the concerned Nodal Police Officer. This order has been issued in exercise of the powers conferred under the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and Rules made thereunder and has the approval of the Competent Authority.
