It offers agile handling and lots of convenient cargo room. Plus, with its user-friendly features and lively engines, it’s always fun to drive. Specs The Kia Soul offers two efficient engines. The first option is a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. On top of offering a peppy performance, it gets good gas mileage with an EPA-estimated 29 MPG city and 35 MPG highway.* The base powertrain comes with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, but an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) is also available. A turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine is also offered to give you more power under the hood. It delivers 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
