Depart from select Maritime cities (Charlottetown, Halifax, Moncton, or Fredericton) on your flight to Vancouver. We transfer to our host hotel, and check in to the Georgian Court Hotel. The Georgian Court Hotel is a 4- star boutique hotel and a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World situated in downtown Vancouver, steps from BC Place Stadium, Rogers Arena, fashionable Robson Street and many downtown Vancouver’s main tourist attractions. Thursday, June 2nd Day 2 Vancouver Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver's spectacular North Shore with breath taking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains. Highlights include the 137 metre (450 feet) Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Grouse Mountain Skyride. Take a walk across the 137 metres (450 feet) long and 70 metres (230 feet) high bridge perched above the Capilano Canyon then stroll along Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you above the forest floor for a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal rainforest. Take a gondola to the apex of Grouse Mountain, climbing to 4,100 feet above sea level. At the summit, take in the incredible views of Vancouver and the Pacific Ocean.

Meet your Tour Director. Board the Rocky Mountaineer train (Gold Leaf Service) at the Vancouver Station at 7:30am PT. Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Breakfast & lunch are included onboard. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room.

Saturday, June 4th Day 4 Jasper

Meet your Tour Director. Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 7:30am PT. Today your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will be surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Your rail journey ends this evening between 7:30pm and 9:00pm MT on arrival in the resort town of Jasper.

Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. Depart by motorcoach for your full day sightseeing tour of Jasper and the surrounding area. We visit Maligne Lake for a 90-minute cruise tour to the world-famous Spirit Island.

Monday, June 6th Day 6 Icefield Parkway

Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. Board the motorcoach and enjoy a full day sightseeing tour along the magnificent Icefields Parkway. Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Athabasca Falls and the Columbia Icefields. The Icefields is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle as well as being the most accessible in North America. It is here you will ride a unique Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier and learn more about its geological features. Tour the Athabasca Glacier in a giant six-wheel drive Ice Explorer vehicle while your guide explains the history of this ancient glacier and points out interesting geological features. Think of it like a "monster- truck meets glacier" adventure where you learn new things! We also visit the Glacier Skywalk. Consisting of a 400 metre (1,640 feet) interpretive boardwalk and a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres (98 feet) out over the Sunwapta Valley, Glacier Skywalk takes spectacular scenery and a rare view of nature to unbelievable heights. The award-winning architecture of the Skywalk is a feat of contemporary design. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Columbia Icefields. This afternoon we travel to Lake Louise and check in to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald lake, the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel is located in Alberta's Banff National Park. Discover endless outdoor recreational activities including hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking and river rafting. Enjoy a group dinner at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Tour Name 3 Tuesday, June 7th Day 7 Banff Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. We check out and load the coach. We depart for a full-day tour of Banff and Yoho National Park. Yoho National Park offers magnificent natural wonders like the Spiral Tunnels, the turquoise serene waters of Emerald Lake and a natural Rock Bridge spanning the Kicking Horse River. This afternoon we travel to Banff and check in to the Elk + Avenue Hotel. Rest of the evening is free to explore.

Wednesday, June 8th Day 8

Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. We check out and load the coach. Today we start the day at the Banff Gondola. Climb Sulphur Mountain in a record-breaking eight minutes and get a bird's-eye view of six mountain ranges. Sorry, did we say 'climb'? We mean 'ascend in style' in your fully enclosed four-passenger gondola cabin. This afternoon we travel to Calgary and stop at Heritage Park Historical Village. Discover how the West was once Canada’s largest living history museum at the Heritage Park Historical Village. This 127-acre attraction is home to the year-round Gasoline Alley Museum and is nestled on the banks of the Glenmore Reservoir with the picturesque backdrop of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Meet friendly townsfolk in full period costume as you stroll down the wooden boardwalks or pop into any number of working shops, businesses, or homes. Enjoy an included lunch. Later we check in to the Delta Calgary Downtown.

Thursday, June 9th Day 9 Fly to Home Enjoy complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. We check out and transfer to the Calgary International Airport for our flight back to the Maritimes. Activity Level Travelling with Target Tours requires a certain level of activity in order to enjoy and participate in our tours. This tour requires the following: • Walking or standing for short periods of time • Lifting and carrying your luggage for short distances • Manage your carry-on luggage through airports • Climbing multiple sets of stairs • Walking on uneven surfaces • Flights in excess of 5 hours • Free time but no free days during the tour • Busy sidewalks and crowded areas • Unable to accommodate walkers or collapsible wheelchairs. Canes are permitted. For all tours please remember that the Tour Director is there to assist all members of the group. While they are happy to provide a helping hand from time to time they are unable to provide mobility assistance for extended periods of time during a tour. Therefore, all travellers must be able to manage their mobility independently.

Tour Director and Driver Your Tour Director and Driver play an important role in making your vacation as memorable and hassle-free as possible. While optional, gratuities are a great way to show your appreciation. The suggested industry guideline is $4.00 to $6.00 per person, per day for your Tour Director and also your Driver. This should be extended on a voluntary and individual basis at the completion of the tour.
