Daskalakis Athletic Center IMPROVEMENTS • Through the generosity of alumni Matt & Theresa Hilbush, the Matthew E. Hilbush and Theresa Morrissey Golf Center was created. The Golf Center includes: Full Swing Golf Simulator, short game/putting green area and coaches offices. Drexel golf now has a place to call home in the DAC. • Through a major gifts from Bob Buckley and John Daskalakis the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Office Suites, Men’s and Women’s Basketball locker rooms and team rooms were renovated. 18 DREXEL UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS ANNUAL REPORT 2012-2013 19 On December 6, 2012, Drexel unveiled the Janet E. and Barry C. Burkholder Athletics Hall of Fame. It is the first permanent home for the Hall of Fame, which celebrates the 117-year history of Drexel Athletics. The Hall of Fame is located in the Recreation Center Gallery between the Recreation Center and the Daskalakis Athletic Center. It is an interactive Hall of Fame, with four touch screens. Here, one can view all of the information available on the Hall of Fame members, including pictures, biographies, photos from the Lexard and Triangle articles provided by Drexel Archives. Visitors can also use the screens to view a history of Drexel Athletics, which includes information on Drexel greats, retired numbers, memorable moments and all-time rosters. The Hall of Fame was installed by Forty Nine Degrees of Cincinnati, Ohio.
