A complete off-the-beaten journey, the Ganesh Himal Trek by Himalaya Land Treks boasts something unique to itself which is a stunning Himalayan journey enjoyed in solitude. Bordering the nation of Tibet, the Ganesh Himal (7,422m) lies at the Dhading-Gorkha border. Bordering the stunning Langtang, Shringi, and the Mansiri Himalayan Ranges, the region is also referred to as the "Ruby Valley", owing to large deposits of ruby ores in the mines. Ethnic to the traditional Tamang people, the Ganesh Himal region also boasts a unique way of life that is rooted deep with the ancient culture unadulterated by modernization. With everything you would expect out of a Himalayan journey and more, the Ganesh Himal Trek is not one to be overlooked. Taking a day off at the valley, we make our way to the hamlet of Satdobato deep within the . From the trailhead at Satdobato, we begin our journey with a gradual climbing through the lush green forests to reach the hamlet of Gongga, crossing Bhalcheen route. Through the outskirts of the Conservation Area, the trail continuesto Rupchet before crossing over the Singla La Pass (4045m) towards Shertung Kharka. Likewise, ascending to the hamlet of Shertunga, the trail once again picks up through the lush green forests to reach Jharlang Phedi and Kintang Phedi. From there, the village of Jamrunglies ahead; it is here at Jamrung where we take a day off. We will tour the local community and learn more about the local culture and the people's unique way of life of Ganesh Himal region. Making our way to Sukaura, we board the bus heading back to Kathmandu which brings our Himalayan adventure to a close. Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu|1300m/4265ft Accommodation: Overnight at 3 star Hotel Touching down at Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by a Himalaya Land Treks’ representative from our office who will guide you directly to the hotel. Following a short introduction session, you will be shown to your rooms for refreshments. After a short briefing session on the day-to-day itinerary, we warp up all the scheduled activities for the day. You are free to head down to the local region to enjoy the pleasant evening.

Day 2:Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek preparation Accommodation: Overnight at 3 star Hotel | Meal: Breakfast

To make sure we have everything we need, we take a day off in Kathmandu while also touring the UNESCO world heritage sites spread around the valley. The journey begins with the ancient temple of Pashupatinath. Exiting Pashupatinath, we head over to the cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Durbar Square which boasts a stunning set of architectural marvels reflecting the ancient way of life. The day comes to an end at the Boudhanath Monastery with its tranquil environment and beautiful views of the sunset. This is the first day of our trip and the journey begins early as we make our way out of Kathmandu and head towards Satdobato. Following the winding bends of the Prithivi Highway, the journey takes us through the banks of the stunning Trishuli River. Heading past the Trishuli Bazaar, we will reach Satdobato. The journey is a pleasant one as we head trough Ganesh Himal Trek 5 pleasant hilly landscape adorned with picturesque towns and vibrant hamlets.

Day 4:Trek from Satdobato to Bhalche| 1850m/6070ft| 5 -6 Hrs Walking hr: 5-6 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

This is the first day of our trek and we begin with a lovely ascend, climbing towards the hamlet of Nipsang. Heading past Nipsang, the trail continues to climb through terraced farmlands heading past several settlements to reach a stunning waterfall. Taking some time off to enjoy the hilly landscape, we once again continue our journey through the lush green forests climbing to Bhalche.

Day 5:Trek from Bhalche to Gongga| 2950m/9678ft| 6-7 Hrs Walking hr: 6-7 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Exiting the hamlet of Bhalche, the trail once again enters the lush green forests adorned with pine and fir trees. Crossing the stream atop a wooden bridge, the trail takes us to Thulo Chaur which houses a small settlement and stunning views of the valley down below. The final stretch of the trek takes us to Gongga blessed with the views of the Langtang Himalayan Range.

Day 6:Trek from Gongga to Rupchet| 2850m/9350ft| 5-6 Hrs Walking hr: 5-6 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Wrapping up things at Gongga, we begin our ascending journey heading towards the hamlet of Rupchet. An uninhabited section of the trail, the journey heads through a solitary area, save only the chirping of the birds. Home to a wide range of floras and faunas, this stretch of the journey is a pleasant one that boasts Himalayan views and pleasant hilly landscapes. Continuing on the lovely trail, we reach Rupchet.

Day 7:Trek from Rupchet to Shertung Kharka| 1920m/6299ft| via Singla La Pass | 4045m/13271ft| 7 Hrs Walking hr: 7 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

One of the difficult as well as strenuous part of the journey, today we ascend to the Singla La Pass, located at an altitude of 4045m. Exiting Rupchet, the trail gradually climbs through the snowy icy trail to reach the glacial moraines beyond, leading to the summit of Singla La. Ganesh Himal Trek 6

Marked with a crest adorned with seas of prayer flags, the summit boasts stunning views of Ganesh I (7,422m), Ganesh II (7,118m), and Ganesh III (7,043m) including Manaslu and the Langtang Himalayan Ranges. Taking some time off at the summit, we begin our descending journey heading towards Shertung Kharka.

Day 8:Trek from Shertunga Kharka to Shertung Village| 2000m/6561ft| 3-4 Hrs Walking hr: 3-4 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

The shortest days of the trek, today, we climb to the hamlet of Shertung. The journey is entirely ascending once as we trek through the ridgeline leading up to the hamlet. Through the lush green forests, the trail takes us through quaint hamlets and pleasant forested landscapes to reach the hamlet of Shertung.

Day 9:Trek from Shertung Village to Jharlang Phedi| 1450m/4757ft| 6 Hrs Walking hr: 6 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Exiting Shertung, we begin our journey headed towards Jharlang Phedi. Beginning our journey with a lovely descend, the trail takes us to Borang. One of the traditional Tamang hamlets, en route the region offers a perfect chance to learn more about the local and cultural way of life of the Himalayan people. Heading past Borang, the trail takes us on a descending run through the lush green forests to reach Jharlang Phedi.

Day 10:Trek from Jharlang Phedi to Kintang Phedi| 1000m/3281ft| 6 Hrs Walking hr: 6 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Exiting Jharlang Phedi, we continue our descending route to reach Kintang Phedi. Picking up the hilly trail through the lush green forests, the journey takes us over to Darkhu which boasts stunning views of Ankhu Khola and the Ri Village. Past Darkhu, the trail descends through the banks of the Netrawati River to reach Kintang Phedi.

Day 11:Trek from Kintang Phedi to Serabensi-Jamrung| 700m/2297ft| 6 Hrs Walking hr: 6 hrs | Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Exiting Kintang Phedi, we begin our journey towards the hamlet of Serabensi or Jamrung, following the banks of the Netrawati River. Through the lush green forests, the journey enters Ganesh Himal Trek 7

Tripureshor before breaking into Sundarbazaar which also hosts a local market. Making our way past Khahare, the journey enters its final stretch heading towards Jamrung.

Day 12:Stay at Jyamrung and explore local community Accommodation: Lodge/tea house | Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

To better understand the local culture and unique way of life, we take a day off at Jamrung exploring the local community. The village has a local school and a hospital where you can indulge in several activities including teaching or being part of an awareness program on basic health. If you don’t feel like working, you can head down to the local regions enjoying the picturesque hamlets while also browsing the local market. Overnight at Jamrung

This is the final day of our trek and the journey is a short one. Exiting Jamrung, the trail takes us over a suspension bridge to Sukaura which brings our Himalayan adventure to a close. Boarding the bus back to Kathmandu, the journey takes us through several picturesque towns before meeting the winding bends of the Trishuli Highway. Breaking into Kathmandu, we make our way directly to the hotel where a lovely farewell dinner hosted by Himalaya Land Treks awaits us.

Day 14:Final Departure Meal: Breakfast Trip Cost Includes
