The School is located in the iconic Yale Art and Architecture Building, now named Paul Rudolph Hall after its architect and the former Chair of the Yale Architecture Department (1958-1965.) The departments of Communications and Development promote its activities on campus, to alumni, and to the larger public through a variety of methods, including digital, print, and direct mail. Together the departments represent the voice of the School and the staff is responsible for creatively conceiving and implementing messaging. It is also the responsibility of Communications and Development to maintain and research appropriate avenues for outreach and specific contact information. Interest in architecture, arts, and education. Organized and punctual. Internship Major Duties/Responsibilities: The New Haven Promise Intern will work with the Directors of Communication and Development on maintaining and improving our outreach and visibility. During the summer, the departments will be analyzing, researching, and updating existing information on alumni of the school, for which the intern will be engaged in all steps. The intern will be trained and responsible for proposing social media posts based on the school’s communication plan. Additional projects will expand the intern’s understanding of and skills related to creating an engaged alumni and donor base. The student will leave with practical experience and knowledge of external affairs, which would be applicable to arts management, educational institutions, and marketing positions.
