By participating in the Adopt-A-Park program, volunteers will Vbeautify public space and build community. Park adopters can choose the days and times they want to volunteer and are asked to visit the park two or more times per month. Adopt-A-Park tasks vary depending upon on needs of individual parks, but in all cases volunteers are encouraged to help remove litter and weeds, clean play equipment and spread bark chips. In appreciation of the volunteers’ commitment and dedication to their adopted park, a recognition sign will be placed at the park’s entrance three months after the fi rst cleanup. This sign lets park visitors know that the group cares about YOUR NAME HERE! their community and value parks as an important resource.
