It will give you more insight on the conduct of the match and will assist in a better match for all. Here are some of the highlights of the 2020 Match. 1. The 41st Annual Combat Sustainment Training Match continues to consist of EIC and non EIC courses of fire based on available ranges, funds, and time available. 2. There will be a “pre-registration’ for 2020 in an effort to get firing orders completed prior to competition. Anyone pre-registered that does not check in the day of registration will be removed from the competition. Walk-ins (only on the day of registration) will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. 3. THURSDAY – 4 June 2020. Registration • 1200-1800 Registration for Rifle and Pistol Competitors, (all competitors must register prior to weapons zero) BLDG 500, RM #1015 4. FRIDAY – 5 June 2020 • 0800- 1200 Registration for Rifle and Pistol Competitors, BLDG 500, RM #1015 • 1330-1730 Rifle Zero Range 1. All Rife match competitors must zero/confirm zero • 1830-1900 Rifle/Pistol Briefing for all competitors (mandatory) BLDG 500, Auditorium • 1900 Team Captain Meeting, BLDG #500, BLDG 500, Auditorium • NLT 2100 Firing order rosters and schedules for events posted BLDG #500 Shooters that do not arrive in time to complete sign up and rifle zero/zero confirmation during the designated time period will not be allowed to participate. 5. SATURDAY – 6 June 2020 • 0730-1900 Individual Combat Rifle Match (Range 3), Combat Pistol Excellence-In-Competition (EIC) Match PI 221 (Range 1A), and Individual Combat Pistol Match (Range 1B). ** If all individual matches are completed early, the Team Combat Rifle Match; (Range 3) and the Team Pistol Match, (Range 1) will commence. 6. SUNDAY – 7 June 2020 • 0730-1500 The SGT Reidar Waaler Team Combat Rifle Match; (Range 3), The LTC William Donovan Combat Team Pistol Match, (Range 1) • 1530-1630 Awards Ceremony (Primary will be the Parade Field Alternate will be Baker Hall ) 7. Competitors must report to the Weapons Security, located in BLDG #500, 1st floor, RM #1018 upon arrival at Camp Smith. Each participant must bring Minimum of 4 pistol magazines and 4 rifle magazines. NO WEAPONS OPTICS PERMITTED. 8. All competitors utilizing privately owned pistols MUST present a NY State pistol permit at registration. No other states permit will be authorized or allowed. Privately owned pistols are only permitted for the Non EIC events. Privately owned rifles are not permitted. 9. Upon the final posting of scores, a 30 minute protest period will be allowed. Upon the completion of the 30 minute period, all results are considered final. 10. PURPOSE: The TAG Combat Sustainment Training match (TAG MATCH) conducted by the New York Army National Guard, is an annual event to promote marksmanship training. These marksmanship sustainment training matches offer service members from the National Guard and other military forces an opportunity to test marksmanship skills and weapon systems in a battle focused environment. 2. MATCH OFFICIALS: The Match Director is COL Isabel Smith, the Deputy Match Director is LTC Henry Padley and the Officer-In-Charge is MAJ Andrew McClure. 3. DATES/LOCATION: The 41ST Annual TAG Match will be conducted, 4 June - 7 June 2020 at Camp Smith Training Site, Cortlandt Manor, New York. 4. MATCH HEADQUARTERS: Match Headquarters is located in the lecture hall in BLDG #500. 5. MATCH BULLETIN BOARD: All Scores and match updates will be posted on the bulletin board located outside Match Headquarters BLDG #500. Team Captains are responsible for receiving all information on the bulletin board periodically throughout the match. Live score updates will be available once the TAG match starts on the mobile app. Information to download the mobile app will be available at the time of registration. 6. REPORTING AND IN-PROCESSING: a. Arrival: Registration begins at 1200 – 1800, 4 June 2020. Upon arrival all Competitors must report to Weapons Security, located in BLDG #500, 1st floor, RM #1018 to check in weapons and receive a Registration checklist. After weapons are secure competitors will proceed to RM# 1015 to continue in-processing. All competitors must have ID tags, and military ID card. b. Physical Screening: Soldiers and Airmen are not allowed to participate in violation of a physical profile. Competitors must be medically screened prior to arrival at Camp Smith to ensure that they are medically qualified and physically fit. It is the individual’s responsibility to ensure they are physically capable and authorized to compete and participate in the event. c. Official Scorecards: Official scorecards are issued from match administration section during registration, no other scorecard is permitted. Personnel reporting to the range without an official individual/team scorecard are not allowed to participate. It is the participant's responsibility to verify, sign and turn the scorecard in to the Range OIC/PIT OIC upon completion of each event. 7. WEAPONS SECURITY: All weapons must be signed in immediately upon arrival at Camp Smith at BLDG # 500. Weapons Security opens at 1200, 4 June 2020 and remains open until 1600 hrs, 7 June, 2020. Shooters will be responsible for the security of their weapon(s) during range operations times. Weapons must be stored at Weapons Security overnight (this includes privately owned pistols). Teams are not allowed to store weapons at any other location. Weapons are not to be taken from the range complex, stored in vehicles, or left unattended. AR190-11 standards must be met at all times. Failure to follow this policy may result in disqualification from the match. Individuals failing to turn in their weapon to Weapons Security by 2000 hours each day will forfeit their scores for the day and the weapons will be reported as a loss of sensitive item. This will result in the submission of a Serious Incident Report (SIR). Weapons may not be cleaned in billets. Cleaning may only be done in designated weapons cleaning areas. Individuals are responsible for their own cleaning equipment and supplies. In the occurrence that a competitor needs to depart the event early, weapons security will not issue weapons on the designated travel day without a signed early departure memo from the Match Director or delegated authority. 5 8. EMERGENCY CONTACT: Family members can call Camp Smith Training Site Range Control at (914) 945-7372 (commercial phone) in the event of an emergency. The Match Director will make every effort to locate the competitor as soon as possible. Competitors should inform their family which event they are participating in prior to leaving home. 9. LOCAL WEATHER CONDITIONS: Average temperature at Camp Smith in June is 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunrise is around 0600 and, Sunset is around 1945. It is common to have wind, rain, and cool temperatures simultaneously. Be prepared for the worst, and bring serviceable, warm, wet weather gear.
