20 Oct 1743 Leonard HICKMUT/Rebecca PARKS Pembury igi It seems that Leonard and Rebecca went to live at Cranbrook (where we think Rebecca was born) after their marriage and had at least one child there: Leonard Hickmott, baptized on 9 July 1744. We think that Leonard snr died at Cranbrook in 1757 and Rebecca there in 1784. Their son, Leonard, probably married Elizabeth Austen at Cranbrook in 1763.

[01 Jan 1789 Stephen HICKMOTT/Rebecca HOBBS Horsmonden igi Stephen and Rebecca had two children at Horsmonden – Stephen (1789) and Harriet (1792) – three at - John (1795), Richard (1797) and David (1800) – and possibly one at Pembury: Thomas (1803). We haven’t as yet been able to determine Stephen’s parents although his marriage record notes that he was from Brenchley which suggests that he may have been the son of John Hickmott and Elizabeth Miles and was baptized there on 15 December 1755. ]
