independent living opportunities for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities by streamlining the development for the complete conversion, as defined, of a motel or hotel into multifamily housing units.

SB 621 will provide Lanterman Housing Alliance members with increased opportunities to develop affordable housing for the I/DD population. SB 621 should have 100% of the housing development be set aside for “lower- income” households as defined in Chapter 2 of the California Health and Safety Code.
