Last August, Hurricane Andrew barely tweaked the barrier islands while the high winds of last weekend's storm caused little physical damage. Sanibel police and firefighters fielded plenty of calls last Friday night and all day Saturday, March 12 and 13, during the week- end of turbulent weather which has continued throughout the week.
