CAT’s Youth Development Activities in 2016 CAT held the activity under the “CAT Communication, Learning and Community” Project by opening up opportunities to the youths living in communal areas around the company as well as employees’ kinds to make better use of their time during their school breaks. They can develop their knowledge and skills in relation to the creative use of information technology. In addition, they can enhance their skills in arts, sports such as football, badminton, and table tennis in order to create a good working relationship between organizations and communities and move toward the sustainable development of communities and societies. C Internet Services CAT accorded Internet access to Thewa Khlongthrong School in under the “Father of Nation” activity held by Airways. CAT supported C Internet services because they could be used to look up useful information germane to the learning process. Bangkok Airways also gifted the school with stationery and carried out several recreational activities

Promotion of Living Quality Project for the Underprivileged Students in Prachinburi Office of the Deputy Prime Minister assigned CAT to be the host organization of the Eastern Group, with the objective of developing the infrastructure of schools in the area as well as promoting good health and hygiene of the people. In addition, this project also aimed to raise the level of education, developing electronic system for educational purposes as well as creating good learning environment for students. Ban Nong Ngu Leum School in Ban Sang District, Prachinburi was selected for this project.

Social Activity Projects with Business Partners CAT coordinated with its business partners to hold a variety of activities to the best of our abilities. In 2016, the company joined forces with the Bureau of Crown Property and held the “CAT Shared Value” activities. The company made use of its potential and capability to enhance the IT knowledge of those living in the Samae Dam Community, enabling them to have an understanding of how to use IT creatively, safely and appropriately in their everyday lives, pursuant to Thailand’s Cybercrime Act B.E. 2550. “Young at Heart IT” 2016 CAT launched this activity under the “CAT Communication, Learning and Community” project in an attempt to enhance the know-how and skills of using technologies by CAT’s senior employees who are over 50 years of age. This activity was aimed at allowing them to benefit from the safe use of these technologies. CAT held a workshop on how to use smartphones and mobile phone applications such as Line, Facebook, photo editing applications, and health advice applications. It also provided knowledge about how to use IT services safely, pursuant to Thailand’s Cybercrime Act B.E. 2550, in order to develop the use of information technology, in the hope that citizens from all walks of life could use it widely and equally. In addition, the company hoped to bridge the gap between them and their access to information and news so that their needs for IT services could be met. On top of that, they could put this knowledge into practice with the intention of improving their quality of life.
