Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority Preliminary Report on Cyclone ‘TITLI’ Date: 11Th October 2018 Time: 17:00 Hours Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority Preliminary Report on Cyclone ‘TITLI’ Date: 11th October 2018 Time: 17:00 Hours Mandal Affected – 38 Mandals in Srikakulam Rainfall Status: Highest Rain recorded 42.6 cms between 0830 hours of 10th Oct 2018 to 0830 hours of 11th Oct 2018 in Booravilli at Gara (M) of Srikakulam District. Present Rainfall recorded is 12.3 cms between 0830 hours to 1500 hours today in Booravilli at Gara (M) of Srikakulam District. Wind Status: Highest Wind Speed recorded was 129.7 km/hr at Korlam in Somapeta (M) of Srikakulam Loss of lives and Injuries: Total Deaths – 03 Total Injuries – 01 Missing - 03 One Woman (T. Appalanarasamama, 62) died due to the falling of tree in Gudivada Agraharam (V) of Vangara (M) One Man (Suryarao, 55) died due to collapse of house in Rotanasa (V) of Sarubujjili (M) One Man (Rudoyo Gumago from Odisha) working as a helper at construction site died due to collapse of Bricks Wall in Pendakolivalasagram (V) at Laxminarasampeta (M) of Srikakulam District. One person (Chintada Ramarao) injured in Polaki (M) Missing Report: 3 Fishermen in 1 boat from Vizianagaram missing in the sea (Source: Deputy Director, Fisheries Department, Visakhapatnam) Infrastructure Damage: Bullapatiya (V) in Mandasa (M) and Kothrakonda (V) in Sompeta (M) are filled with flood water due to rains. All the Mandal reported the damage to trees leading to blockage of roads. Most of them also reported the damages to electricity poles. 6 Boats damaged in Visakhapatnam District due to heavy winds. More than 100 houses damaged in Bhamini, Jalumuru, Kothuru, Laxminarasampeta, Palakonda, Narasannapeta, Polaki, Santhakaviti and Sarubujjili Mandals of Srikakulam District. EPDCL reported that cyclone has affected 4319 villages and 6 towns power distribution systems are affected in the district of worth 2.50 Crores. EPDCL reported the cyclone has affected 358 villages power distribution system in 6 Mandals of Vizianagaram District of worth Rs 15 Lakhs. Crop Damage: Some Mandals also reported damage to the crops and paddy fields such as Laveru, Laxminarasampeta, Polaki and Palakonda Mandals of Srikakulam (D). Etcherla (M) of Srikakulam (D) informed the loss report for 38 acres of Paddy and 22 acres of Banana Plantation across Mandal. Polaki (M) of Srikakulam (D) informed the damage to 3,000 acres of paddy crops, 29 hectares of Banana Plantation, 9000 hectares of vegetable and 40 acres of Cashew crops. Laveru (M) of Srikakulam (D) informed about the damage to 100 acres of Banana plantation, 40 acres of Papaya, 330 acres of cotton and 300 acres of paddy. Loss of Livestock: One (01) cow died in Chintakotipalle(V) at Palakonda (M) of Srikakulam (D). One (01) cattle died in Srimukalinga (V) at Jalumuru (M) of Srikakulam (D). Ongoing Actions: All the Mandal and District Officials are engaged in preparing damage reports. The efforts are been undertaken to clear the blocked roads with the help of various specialized response forces (NDRF, SDRF & FIRE services ) EPDCL have engaged their 75 Special Teams to attend the various type disruptions in Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam Districts. 3 Families in Bharanikam (V) at Laveru (M) in Srikakulam (D) shifted to nearest relief center at MTP School in Kunapuvanipeta Godomuru (V) .

Alternatives schooliing facility to the children who are never enrolled and dropouts of school age in the group of 6-11 and 12-14 by opening 186 new N.F.E. centres. The objective of Eduction For All will be achieved by opening five lED schools for Physically disabled children and 2 schools for child labour and migratory children. For the religions (Urdu people) minorities, 5 new primary schools will be opened. 26 schools vill be opened for oriya(linguistic minorities) in bilingual mandals of the district. 500 ECE centres will bes opened for preparing the children of age group 3-5 for primary schooling uncovered by ICDS department. The vision will be realised through convergences of the service of health, women and child and other related departments, community will be made the mainstake holder in education planning and management for effective delivery of educational service.
