From Incheon International Airport By Subway (1h30- 3,950 wons) You can take the airport railroad (AREX) from Incheon International Airport to Gyeyang. Then transfer to Incheon subway line. Stay in the subway about 50 minutes until you get to Central Park station. Go to exit number 4 and follow instructions given in our map. By Bus Outside the Arrivals floor of the airport at gate No. 9B, your can take a limousine bus, or bus No. 303 to Songdo International City. The fare for the bus from Incheon International Airport to Songdo International City is KRW 6,500. In Incheon, the fare for a city bus is fixed at KRW900. By Taxi Taxi Stands are located directly outside gates 5C-8C. The basic fare for a taxi starts at KRW 2,400 plus the fare for the travel distance and time. Visitors taking a taxi will also be expected to should the highway toll costs. The cost of a taxi trip from the airport to EAAFP is approximately KRW 40,000. From Seoul A number of options may be explored when traveling to EAAFP from Seoul By Subway From Seoul Station in downtown Seoul, catch the Line # 1 Subway heading south toward Incheon. Stay on the subway for approximately 50 minutes, until you arrive at Bupyeong Subway Station. Transfer to the Incheon Subway Line (Incheon Metro), a take the subway heading south toward the International Business District. Stay on the subway for approximately 30 minutes, until you arrive at Central Park Station , your final destination. Proceed to EXIT # 4 and go to G-Tower where you will find EAAFP (3fl.). Cost of traveling by subway is approximately KRW 1,800. By Bus From Gangnam Station EXIT 3, catch Blue Inter-city Bus M6405, which will take you to Central Park Station in Songdo, Incheon. Travel time is approximately 1 hour. Cost is KRW 2,400. By Taxi Taxi maybe caught anywhere within Seoul. Though you may negotiate a flat rate with the driver, the basic fare for a taxi starts at KRW 2,400 plus the fare for the travel distance and time. Visitors taking a taxi will also be expected to shoulder the highway toll fees. The cost of a taxi trip from Seoul to EAAFP is approximately KRW 40,000 - 50,000. Over the last few years, metros (also known as subway, underground or tube) have evolved as an efficient and effective urban mobility solution in addressing the growing concerns of urbanisation and climate change. This is supported by the fact that despite high capital requirements the sector witnessed a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.7 per cent between 2005 and 2010. In high density urban areas, metros form the backbone of integrated public transport systems and offer proven economic, social and environmental benefits. Given the huge investment requirement and long life span, metro systems have always been a driving force for technological and financial innovations. Government and metro operators are constantly seeking solutions to improve reliability and customer service, lower fuel and maintenance costs, as well as increase efficiency and safety levels in operations. The Global Metro Projects Report provides updated information on the world's top 101 metro projects that present significant capital investment opportunities. These projects have a total existing network length of about 8,900 km and a proposed length of over 8,000 km. The report covers 51 countries representing about 80 per cent of the world’s gross domestic product. It presents the key information required to assess investment opportunities in the development of new lines, extension and upgrade of existing lines, rolling stock procurement and refurbishment, power and communication systems upgrades, fare collection, as well as station construction and refurbishment.

2011 JOINT CONSULTING PROJECTS WITH WB Case Studies of Korea’s Public-Private Partnership 1 2011 JOINT CONSULTING PROJECTS WITH World Bank (WB) 1. Overview 1.1. Project Background and Objective 1.1.1. Project background Between 2004 and 2011, the Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) had provided customized policy consulting services for nearly 300 projects in 34 countries as part of the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP). In 2011, the MOSF newly launched KSP joint consulting with Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs)1, developing the former bilateral partnership (between Korea and a partner country) to a trilateral partnership (among Korea, international organizations and a partner country). In this process, the MOSF concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with five MDBs and established a foundation for joint consulting. In accordance with the MOU, the MOSF implemented KSP joint consulting through discussion with the MDBs including WB, ADB and IDB. KSP is a development partnership project that facilitates economic and social growth of developing countries by sharing Korea's experiences; offering policy research, consulting service and training programs customized to the recipient countries' demand and conditions; and supporting their institution-building and capacity-building efforts. The trilateral KSP, developed from the bilateral KSP, can benefit from regional expertise of the MDBs as well as Korea's experiences of economic development and provide customized consulting service to countries in need. Therefore, it will create synergy effects and deepen a cooperative partnership with the MDBs and with developing countries. 1.1.2. Project objective As part of KSP-MDB joint consulting project, the MOSF and World Bank Institute (WBI) 2 agreed to conduct case studies of successful Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Korea.
