INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Geneva, UNCC Environmental Compensation Claims for the 1st 1991 (2002-2004) I have been adopted as environmental expert to assess the validity of the environmental claims in respect of marine environment and fisheries allegedly by Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Jordan as a consequence of the Gulf War 1991. The work detailed with technical analysis of the claims to find out alternatives for the basis of alleged damages based on available information from the claimants and internationally recognized organizations as well. Presentations have been made for the International Panel at the UNCC in Geneva on behalf of Iraq including the marine environment and fisheries status in the Arabian Gulf before and after the war and to identify to which extent these damages are direct results of the conflict.

Global Environmental Outlook / GEO 6 (2014 - ) Nominated as contributor author for the West Asia region on two sections; Coastal Zone Management and Marine Biodiversity.

International Partnership for Blue Carbon (2017 - ) Member of the International Partnership for Blue Carbon as a representative of the Arabian Gulf group.
