Approval and deletion of ITU-T Recommendations

A.1 By TSB AAP-85 of 16 September 2004, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were approved, in accordance with the procedures outlined in ITU-T Recommendation A.8: – ITU-T Recommendation L.59 (06/09/2004): Optical fibre cables for indoor application – ITU-T Recommendation L.60 (06/09/2004): Construction of optical/metallic hybrid cables – ITU-T Recommendation L.62 (06/09/2004): Practical aspects of unbundling services by multiple operators in copper access networks

A.2 By TSB Circular 251 of 20 September 2004, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were deleted, in accordance with the procedures outlined in Resolution 1, Section 9 of the WTSA (Montreal, 2000): – ITU-T Recommendation F.86 (11/10/1991): Interworking between the international telex service and the videotex service – ITU-T Recommendation F.300 (12/03/1993): Videotex service – ITU-T Recommendation F.301 (03/10/1995): Fast speed PSTN videotex The conditions governing the deletion of ITU-T Recommendations were met and 24 Member States participating in the meeting of Study Group 2 (Geneva, from 18 to 28 May 2004) proposed to delete these ITU-T Recommendations. Nine Administrations of Member States responded to the consultation on 2 September 2004, and no objection to these deletions was received.

American Samoa (country code +1 684) Communication of 9.IX.2004: The North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA) (country code +1) announces that on 2 October 2004 American Samoa will be integrated into the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) with NPA (Numbering Plan Area) 684 within the country code +1; the subscriber numbers will remain the same, i.e. seven digits.
