Virgin Mobile Wins Best Mobile Advertising Award at 3GSM Submitted By: MUSTARD PR Tuesday, 20 February 2007 Virgin Mobile wins Best Mobile Advertising award at 3GSM Submitted by: MUSTARD PR Tuesday, 20 February 2007 Virgin Mobile wins Best Mobile Advertising award ·Bluetooth hot spots, created and executed by Qwikker, featured at the 2006 V Festival 20.02.07: Virgin Mobile and Qwikker have been crowned winners of the ‘Best Mobile Advertising’ category at the 2007 Global Mobile awards held in Barcelona last week at 3GSM. The campaign beat tough competition from Vodafone, Cingular, FOX Entertainment and many others to take the title at the ‘Mobile Oscars’. Virgin Mobile impressed judges with their Bluetooth hot spots, created and executed by Qwikker, which featured at the 2006 V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex. Nine areas were set up across the festival site with each offering free music downloads of live performances including Morrissey, Kasabian and the Young Knives which had just been heard on stage, demonstrating how great music on your mobile can be. Festival-goers were encouraged to make use of the service through a series of posters, flags and stickers spread across the site, with a further 4,000 texts being sent out letting users know where to pick up free music. The success of the V Festival campaign was incredible with over 30,000 mobiles connecting to the service over the three day period, amounting to 47% of the target audience being reached – a key reason why Virgin Mobile and Qwikker took the crown. The judges commented further on the campaign, saying it was `Neatly composed and well executed – with both brand and user benefit’. Jo Baker from Virgin Mobile said: “We are always looking to offer our customers innovative ways to access the best in mobile entertainment. The Bluetooth activity at V Festival was no exception. By creating the download areas we offered free content and showed customers just how great and unique music on your mobile can be.” James Martin from Qwikker said: “Our work with Virgin Mobile and the award from the GSMA from our industry peers is a clear indication that our channel and execution is first rate. Qwikker's solution is ideal for music venue marketing as it not only capitalises on the context of the environment, but also uses unique technology allowing browsing and downloading of full length mp3s and videos at no cost to consumers.” -ends- For more information, please contact: Virgin Mobile: Virgin Mobile Press Office: 0845 600 6272 or [email protected] Page 1 Jo Baker: [email protected] or 07941 23300 Henry’s House (Virgin Mobile): Kate Towey: [email protected] or 07734 208981 Richard Tompkins: [email protected] or 0207 291 3031 Qwikker: MUSTARD PR: 01628 502601 or [email protected] About Virgin Mobile: Virgin Mobile is the UK’s largest mobile virtual network operator and uses T-Mobile's network. Dirty Pretty Things’ Carl Barât announced as Fifth Road to V Mentor Submitted by: onlinefire PR Wednesday, 9 April 2008 Virgin Mobile’s Road to V (http://www.roadtov.com/) in partnership with Sony Ericsson The final mentor for Virgin Mobile’s Road to V search for bands is confirmed. Song-writer, musician and DJ Carl Barât, formerly of The Libertines and current frontman of Dirty Pretty Things, is the final addition to the panel of advisers to the ‘next big thing’ in the UK’s biggest and best search for unsigned music (http://www.roadtov.com/)al talent - Road to V. The competition is now open and two bands, mentored by our very own panel of experts, will get to open the V Festival this summer, in Chelmsford and Stafford, on the 16th August. Unsigned bands (http://www.roadtov.com/) can go to www.roadtov.com and register their entry, upload their best track and tell us a bit about themselves. All the entries will then be judged by this year’s panel of music industry experts, which includes the just announced Carl Barât, Mags Revell, the promotor of V Festival, Mark Beaumont from NME, A&R man Sav Remzi and Paul Samuels from Crown Music Management. 14 bands will go through to the live stage of the competition – all of which will go on to play at either the Carling Academy in London or Liverpool, and each gig will be broadcast during the summer on Channel 4. Each judge will then give the unsigned bands (http://www.roadtov.com/) their pearls of wisdom to make it big in the music industry the viewers then decide who wins and gets the chance of a lifetime to open one of the UK’s biggest festivals.

Dixons Carphone plc Carphone Dixons Annual Report and Accounts Annual Report 2015/16 and Accounts 2 015 /16 www.dixonscarphone.com @DixonsCarphone “I am very pleased to be announcing another year of significant earnings growth, with profits before tax up more than 17%. In this momentous year we have largely completed our merger activities, driven customer satisfaction and market share to all-time highs in virtually all of our markets, made our shops more interactive and exciting while becoming ever more competitive with pure-play retailers, launched a new joint venture in the US, launched a new UK mobile network, and embarked on an ambitious property plan in the UK and Ireland. We also had our biggest ever trading day on Black Friday last year. We are far from done, though. We have very ambitious plans this year which include making every one of the former Dixons stores one of the new 3-in-1 shops, introducing a lively and interactive new e-Commerce platform to Carphone Warehouse, opening Europe’s most modern distribution centre in Sweden, introducing same-day delivery, rolling out c.150 new stores in the US with Sprint, delivering our honeyBee platform to major global clients, launching our new home services division with a mandate to become a true emergency service for customers across the UK, and continuing to drive market share, price competitiveness and customer satisfaction everywhere. It is likely to be busy. I am truly grateful to all of my colleagues – right across the world – for their hard work and dedication. I am also very proud to be able to say that I work alongside such a creative and dedicated group of men and women.
