DLF.TV is the production wing of the David Lynch Foundation, which was founded by the iconic filmmaker to teach at-risk young people to meditate—to give them the tools to overcome stress and violence in their lives.

The first DLF.TV webcast will be on Saturday, April 4, from Radio City Music Hall in New York City during an exclusive backstage webcast of the “Change Begins Within” benefit concert. The webcast will start at 6:30 p.m. EDT on DLF.TV and will use BitGravity's BG Live™ highly- scalable flash-based video stream service.

Paul McCartney will headline the concert along with special guests , , , , , , Paul Horn, Bettye LaVette and . The concert will raise funds to teach one million children to meditate —“giving them the tools to overcome stress and violence and grow in happiness and peace in their lives,” Lynch said.

To date, the David Lynch Foundation has provided scholarships for over 70,000 at-risk students in public and private schools in the US, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa to learn to the Transcendental Meditation technique. Research at Harvard, Yale, UCLA, Stanford, and other leading US research institutions show the meditation practice reduces stress, anxiety, and depression; improves academic achievements and IQ, and decreases ADHD, suspensions, and violence. DLF.TV will showcase the success of the Foundation’s in-school meditation programs worldwide, provide exclusive videos of Lynch; profile meditating artists, scientists, athletes, etc; and sponsor international film, photography, and painting competitions.

The “Daily David” video blog, which will include short clips of Lynch ruminating on directing, creativity, and meditation, will highlight DLF.TV.

“The theme of DLF.TV is ‘consciousness, creativity, and bliss,’ David Lynch said. “And that is the experience we want to provide everyone who visits the channel.”

DLF.TV will away two premium tickets to the Change Begins Within benefit concert, along with a meet & greet and photo op with David Lynch, and signed memorabilia. Visit DLF.TV for details.
