TECHNISCHE HOBBIES TECHNIQUES SPÉCIFIQUES TECHNICAL HOBBIES HOBBY TECNICO Clay and enamel 07 / yellow 83 / anthracite 89 / deep black 84 / red Chamotted Modelling Clay, chamotted 25 % 0 – 1 mm: Professional clays with a wide range of uses, suitable for all modelling tech- niques and for small to medium sized pieces. With the exception of clay 6s all clays can be combined with one another, whether for the insertion technique or the marbling technique. Due to the special careful preparation of the natu- ral clays they are so plastic, that with a little practice they can also be turned on the potter’s wheel (e.g. for thick-walled plant containers). When clays 42 053 86 and 42 053 88 are fired in the range of the given highest tempera- ture, frostproof ceramic ware can be produced. 86 / leather coloured 88 / white Modelling firing clay Westerwald 42 051 07 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg te 1000 – 1300 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 051 83 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg te 1000 – 1300 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 051 89 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg te 1000 – 1200 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 053 84 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg te 1000 – 1200 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 053 86 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg white te 1000 – 1280 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 053 88 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg Modelling firing clay Westerwald te 1000 – 1300 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 053 83 Modelling firing clay, 25 % chamot- SQ: 10 kg te 980 – 1100 °C, 0 – 1 mm 42 053 83: white stoneware material, up to 1,100 °C, glazes well at a low firing temperature Clay prices are quoted net, ex works Westerwald. It can be finely modelled, whereby the fibres form a supportive structure in the drying pro- cess, which gives the unfired clay an unusual degree of stability even with fili- gree work. Please note that it is natural for the textile fibres to develop smoke during ceramic firing and that the kiln must have an extractor system. 81 / red 89 / white Clay for potter‘s wheel Westerwald 42 050 89 Clay for potter‘s wheel, 1000 – SQ: 10 kg 1150 °C 42 053 79 Clay for potter‘s, 1000 – 1250 °C SQ: 10 kg 42 053 81 Clay for potter‘s wheel, 1000 – SQ: 10 kg 1200 °C 42 053 89 Clay for potter‘s wheel, 1.000 – SQ: 10 kg 1.300 °C white Fibrous clay stoneware Westerwald 42 054 02 Fibrous clay stoneware, 1000 – SQ: 10 kg 1300 °C There may be colour deviations due to the printing process. However, they are also suitable for all the and modelling techniques. usual building-up techniques. 42 053 87:Building-up and modelling plate clay which fires white. This clay can be fired at a higher temperature than the special plate clays. Due to its resistance to thermal shock, it is especially suitable for the RAKU-technique. Since the clay mixture used has particularly good plastic properties, it can also be used on a potter‘s wheel (e.g. for RAKU-vessels). 42 054 05:This clay catches the eye through the interplay of colours. At 1,000 °C it fires to a lilac colour, then at higher firing temperatures, it changes to beige-ochre-brown. At firing temperatures starting at 1,250 °C the colour of the fired piece changes, the corners and edges take on dark colou- red contours. 89 / deep black 94 / white white Clay Westerwald 42 053 87 Clay, 40 % chamotte 1000 – 1300 SQ: 10 kg 95 / red 97 / leather coloured °C, 0 – 0,5 mm Clay Westerwald 42 049 89 Clay, 40% chamotte 980 – 1150 SQ: 10 kg °C, 0 – 0,5 mm 42 052 94 Clay, 40% chamotte 980 – 1150 SQ: 10 kg °C, 0 – 0,5 mm 42 052 95 Clay, 40% chamotte 980 – 1150 SQ: 10 kg °C, 0 – 0,5 mm 42 052 97 Clay, 40% chamotte 980 – 1150 SQ: 10 kg °C, 0 – 0,5 mm Building-up Clay, chamotted, 0 – 2 mm The clay is especially suitable for large pieces. 42 054 06:This clay catches the eye through the interplay of colours.
