Place leftover clay in a large plastic container or bucket that has a lid. 2. Fill the clay bucket with air temperature tap water until all the clay is completely submerged. 3. Replace lid firmly or cover opening with thick plastic sheeting and let sit for a week without stirring. 4. Check clay after approx. 5 days. Test this by digging your fingers into the clay.
