Route Details
Enjoy a pleasant ramble in the rolling Cheshire countryside, through arable farmland and pastures, along the Macclesfield Canal and across the Danes Moss Reserve.
On leaving the gardens, you first pass through arable farmland, then along a quiet country lane before crossing pasture and joining the Macclesfield Canal towpath. You then cross Danes Moss Reserve a Site of Special Scientific Interest, before heading back towards the Hall along the same country lane and across more pasture.

Directions 1. Turn right out of car park towards the Hall, continue past the Hall entrance on road past Gawsworth Fisheries.
2. Continue straight on across 6 fields.
3. Turn right along Woodhouse End Road.
4. Take next public footpath on your left up Woodhouse Green farm drive.
5. Pass through metal field gate and turn left.
6. Pass through metal hand gate to your left and turn right, continuing straight across field.
7. Turn left along Macclesfield Canal towpath.
8. Take next public footpath to your left across Dane’s Moss.
9. At path crossroads continue along field edge.
10. Rejoin Woodhouse End Road and turn right.
11. Take next public footpath to your left and cross 3 fields.
12. Join Church Lane and turn left back towards car park.
