Raises Over $310,000 to Benefit its Positive Programs for Local Youth

Summer Camp Camping Trip NE-YO Event

This year was our second time taking a group of kids camping. Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Hosted the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade 2015 Florida Youth of the Year Celebration Youth of the Year

When Halia started at the Northwest Club 10 years ago she would always keep to herself, very shortly she broke out of her shell and started making friends and getting involved in all the different programs at the Club. Her last school year she volunteered her time at the Northwest Club, she helped with the everyday activities during the afterschool program. She will be attending Tuskegee University where she will be pursuing her career in psychology. Halia was one of the three finalists in the 2015 Florida Youth of the Year Competition. Mater Grove Academy, the charter school Award Volunteer Award To Youth Awards: located at the Hank Kline Club, had another successful year. The school grew to 360 students enrolled in grades Kindergarten to Board Members 7th Grade. The school received a school grade of “A” for 2013-2014 school year. Eighty-five percent of the students had Richard Sepler 35 Years overall learning gains in Reading and 80% of the students scored proficient or higher in Science. The school has shown great gains from its inaugural year where the majority Raul Marmol 20 Years of the students were below grade level.
