A BENEFIT FOR THE USTA TENNIS & EDUCATION FOUNDATION May 15, 2007 BENEFIT COMMITTEE: David Goldenberg Irene Shen Carol Kimmelman Sue Ann Weinberg Missie Rennie Barbara Wynne The USTA Tennis & Education Foundation is the charitable and philanthropic entity of the USTA. It supports organizations and programs that use tennis and education to enhance the lives of at-risk, disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities and others with special needs. Under its Aces for Kids initiative, funds are granted to programs that focus on health, fitness, character-building and self- improvement to help combat childhood obesity, substance abuse, violence and school dropouts. Because administrative expenses are borne by the USTA, virtually 100% of contributions go directly to programs and scholarships. As a result, thousands of youngsters across the country have benefited from the generosity of donors like you. Since 1995, the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships, and provided over $5 million in program grants. Please join tennis legends Pam Shriver*, Martina Navratilova*, Mary Carillo* and Foundation President, Patrick McEnroe for an exciting evening!
