Heritage Partnerships Program in Utah The National Park Service is about more than just parks. The Heritage Partnerships Program of the NPS Intermountain Region helps community groups, local, state and federal agencies, tribal governments, nonprofits, and individuals identify, recognize and preserve national treasures that are located outside of our system of national parks.

• Fort Douglas High-Resolution Digital Photography Documentation Project, Salt Lake County – HPP provided financial assistance to the University of Utah to photo document the resources associated with the Fort Douglas NHL district to help facilitate preservation of the management site.

• Historic Casino Star Theatre Restoration, Sanpete County – with a grant provided by the Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area, the Casino Star Theater Foundation restored the historic façade and marquee.
