The Story of The Land That Never Was

There is a story about the four that blow across our world. A long time ago, before people could read, they thought that the four winds came from The Land That Never Was!

In The Land That Never Was, there lived four giants. No one had ever actually seen those giants. Everyone had felt their breath many times, so they gave the giants these names: Great East , Great West Wind, Great North Wind, and Great South Wind.

Their mouths were large and round because these giants

had very large appetites, and The Great The Great WEST Wind The Great NORTH Wind The Great SOUTH Wind very large stomachs to hold all they ate. They were so large that they had to eat almost constantly. They loved to eat furniture, animals, rocks, The Great EAST Wind The Great WEST Wind The Great NORTH Wind The Great SOUTH Wind small trees, and flowers, but most of all they loved to eat letters, numbers, and words! When they ate something they liked, they would say, “Oooh, The Great EAST Wind The Great WEST Wind The Great NORTH Wind The Great SOUTH Wind that tasted good.” But because they were so big, when they said, “Oooh,” their breath sent a wind all the way from The Land That

The Great EAST Wind The Great WEST Wind The Great NORTH Wind The Great SOUTH Wind Never Was to our earth.
