ore than 43,000 private estate residents in Ang Mo Kio MGRC and Sengkang West SMC will benefi t from a one-stop hotline service provided by People’s Association for their local maintenance issues. Unlike in HDB estates, where maintenance issues are managed by the Town Council, private estates are self-managed. With the toll-free hotline 1800-CALL-123 (1800-2255-123, operating during offi ce hours), residents in private estates no longer need to fret about which government agencies to call for issues at hand. They could also email their maintenance issues to [email protected]. This is part of a new community initiative, One Connect @ Ang Mo Kio-Sengkang West, which was offi cially launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 8 July at Greenwich V. Residents will also be able to enjoy a variety of community bonding programmes under the new initiative. PM Lee said: “These residents in the private estates are part of our community and we would like for them to be also engaged in the same way as we can with the HDB residents.”
