Es el único género al que le damos esta atención: el especial se distribuye dentro de todas nuestras ediciones centrales, y además se ofrece por separado en circuitos específicos que lo ameritan. ¿Porqué gana importancia el segmento infanto juvenil a medida que pasa el tiempo? Es uno de los rubros que más aplica al desarrollo 360 que tanto necesitan productores, distribuidores y broadcasters hoy en día: TV + Pay TV, plataformas digitales, licensing, games, shows en vivo y otros negocios auxiliares, todo con pro- yección bastante atemporal. También, el público infanto juvenil es muy fiel, y tiene más tiempo de consumir contenidos que los adultos. El nuevo concepto de ‘manejo de franquicias’ con los progra- mas más exitosos en lugar de canales de TV, corre a pleno. Se puede construir un negocio sólido a través del tiempo. ¿Cuáles son sus mayores amenazas/desafíos? Desde PREN- SARIO vemos dos: la migración a la multipantalla, que puede volver a los niños muy erráticos: hoy muchos consumen TV, tablet y computadora al mismo tiempo, se ‘enganchan’ con una serie vieja en YouTube y pasan a seguirla, editan videos propios… el consumo de series tradicionales baja sensible- mente. Y en particular, que las audiencias maduran cada vez más rápido, entonces muchos programas que antes iban a niños de hasta 12 años, terminan siendo hasta 7, y así… quien veía Winnie The Pooh antes, hoy quiere iCarly. Esto estrecha progresivamente muchos productos, géneros, porciones de negocio.
